Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 This is simply my opinion, but I don't think district champs should be given an automatic bid into the playoffs. They should have to meet some standards to qualify for the playoffs, such as having no less than seven wins or something of that sort. How can anyone justify Grayson County (5-5) getting a playoff berth over George Wythe (9-1), a team that beat Grayson 56-0 in the regular season. The ignorance of the system just blows my mind. trumpet1988 289 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 Whether or not they are district champs, it's still insane if a 9-1 team doesn't make the playoffs.

hhstigerfan 12 Report Share Posted November 13, 2004 I think they should leave the system as it is, but take two more wild card teams into the playoffs and give the top two seeds a bye the first round. If they did that, in Region D you would have Honaker, Haysi, Clintwood, Powell Valley, Rye Cove, and Gate City in the playoffs. Region C, you would have GW and Chilhowie(who I think would have been a good playoff contender this year) in with Leb, Giles, Floyd, and Grayson.
