Well you got me there! But that still gives him a lifetime losing record vs. Bluefield (1-2)...

Yeah yeah yeah, you finally beat us on your third try with umpteen seniors after we lost 18 starters off our championship squad. Congrats. But you have a ways to go before you can claim any bragging rights on us. If you look at this nice little rivalry that has developed between us, you have to admit we have the upper hand. We beat you in the tournament, and now 3 out of 4 times. So accept that we have the bragging rights for the time being with class.

I liked upstate how after we beat Weir every Weir fan at the mall walked by me and said 40-0...My only response was "wide left" and look who's in the championship game..They can brag about there championship this year..but we still have the overall bragging rights

Yeah, Bluefield has beaten Weir in football more times than we have beaten you guys but I'll never change my mind about this, in 2004 Weir was 14 points better than Bluefield. If Weir would have had Eric Meek as their head coach, Weir would have three peated from 03-05.

I highly doubt you said anything, and even if you did I don't know why you would. Your sport is baseball and Weir would smack Bluefield in baseball any year they played. Also, where were you when Smitty(#33) came over and stood in front of the Bluefield student section talking smack and showing everyone his ring? I know for a fact noone said a word to him and that was smart of you guys.

That were smart of you guys? Wow, they teach good english up there, same class they teach "class" in huh. I think everyone at Weir must skip that class. Weir is smacking Clay county, and they run the score up and their rude fans are still chanting cruel and nasty stuff at their fans. I'm so proud to be a Beaver, we have class. LOL, weir ran the score up and thought they would just walk through the tournament after that. Instead they got sent north a couple days early. haha. How stupid to come flash your ring at us, all we had to do was flash ours too. Uhhhh, we have one too? Get some class WEIRdos.

Three peated? Give me a break. You couldn't have beat Poca, much less us in 03. You played better for most of that game in 04, but as we showed you, 14 points is nothing to overcome. Martinsburg would have killed you that year, and oh, did i mention we beat them when they were number 1? See we don't shy away from teams like Morgantown, we play ANYONE. Eric Meek isn't that great a coach. He took over a team that had majority of seniors on it that had playoff experience. Sounds like to me from my wheeling central friends he won't even be coaching weir next year. Doesn't matter we won't hear from weir for a while now, since they lose everyone.

That is the BIG difference in our kids and your kids up there. Our kids stayed where they were supposed to be, and was there to cheer on the Basketball team. Not to talk smack like your kids were. Not only do we produce great athletes and students, they are a great group of kids. They are not in it to talk smack. And when you say they are smart not to say a word to him, that is correct. They are a smart group of kids that have class, not smack talking thugs. As for the football thing, you WERE 14 points better at one point, but once again class and heart prevailed again. Get over this my Daddy can beat up your Daddy mentality and go back to having fun posting again.....

"Smitty" must not be too important either because about 95% of the students had no clue who he was. And in case you were wondering, he didn't say anything until he had passed the students and was by security. I was on the front row and he walked right in front of the students and didn't say a word. Now thats tough.

Let me just say this, Bluefield fans don't have all this class as you say and I know plenty of kids from Bluefield and Princeton at WVU and they all say that the Steptoes were constantly in trouble. They think they're intimidating but when the one walked by me and tried to stare at me last year at the state tournament with Perdue and I was by myself, he definitely wasn't scaring me. Bluefield didn't know who Smitty was? I hope they would because he ran for 200+ yards and 2 TD's against them. Also, noone in Bluefield's student section would want anything to do with Smitty in a fight. He's a good friend of mine and he says what he wants basically because he can. Powell would have been in some trouble if he would have went after him, which I know he didn't so don't lie. And beaverbaseball, you are lucky you didn't go after him. That's all I'm going to say.

You showed "your" rings or the football players you were with showed "their" rings? I like how students at Bluefield think they wins when the team wins the state title.

I really could care less about Bluefield anymore. When they won in the basketball game last week, I was upset because I had friends on Weir's team but most of those guys got their state championship in football this past year. After we lost in 2003, I was upset for a long time because I thought we could win the state championship and it sucked to lose as a senior like that. Last year, I was mad because I think Weir should have won against Bluefield but some of the Weir coaches made a mistake that cost them a state title and I thought that the seniors on that team deserved a state title. Now, I've gotten over Bluefield winning at football in 03 and 04, but it bothers me that most of their fans think they are the most dominant football program in WV HS football history and their basketball team only loses because of the officials.

Well I sure hope Smith cherishes every one of those 200+ yards because thats the only good memory he has with Bluefield. I know I would cherish those because the thought of 4th downs, interceptions, onside kicks, overtime, extra points, and handcuffs make him sick! Honestly, his uni-brow is all he has going for him...

P.S. - I'm glad you were right beside Powell in the student section to see him and Steptoe try to find "Smitty"...

He lost once against Bluefield in 2004 where he rushed for over 100 yards and he won a state title against Bluefield in 2005. He's a great RB who had Quincy Wilson in shock with such a great game on the Island. Also, you can run your mouth on here but I know for a fact that it wouldn't be a good idea for you to say anything to Smitty in person. Why would he still be worried about losing in 2004. He got a chance to win a state title in 2005 and accomplished that goal and went out with a win over Bluefield. If everyone from Bluefield is so tough, why didn't anyone say anything to him when he was in their student section? I know that the Weir student section wouldn't have let that happen if someone from another school came over talking smack.

Bluefield's students probably didn't say anything to him when he came over bacause they wanted to show more class than the Weir fans. I had a high regard for Weir in 03 because after our win I had many fans and players wishing us luck in Wheeling. But after the 04 and game in Wheeling this past year when fans would walk by us taunting and laughing and then after Friday night, my opinion has dramatically changed. I am proud of our team win or lose!! Those boys had heart this past weekend and I wish they had won, but I am still proud of them.

And by they way a championship is for the entire school and community to celebrate, not just those on the playing field!

Weir fan, where is your ring to flash? Oh yeah, you were one of them laying on the field balling your eyes out. This aggression is because you are empty handed. Look at our tradition in football and be jealous. We are tied for the most state championships of any school in AAA and are dominant in AA now. Don't be so sure about Smith whooping those guys. Either one of the Steptoes and JT would tear him up. We have class and tradition at Bluefield. When we lose, we don't fight and we don't get escorted out in handcuffs. That is something your fans (and coaches) are accustomed to.

You are going to base your opinion of Weir from two coaches that aren't even from Weirton? I am not trying to start a fight or even argue, but all I'm going to say is that the Bluefield student section is lucky they didn't say anything back to Josh Smith and I'm being serious. I'm not trying to say Weir kids are tougher than kids from Bluefield, but noone in that student section would have been able to do anything about him talking smack. I'm not mad anymore that I didn't win a state championship in high school. I just don't like Bluefield, other than a few friends that I know from there. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you're not tied for the most state titles in football in AAA. Parkersburg has the most AAA football titles in the state of WV.
