Top Virginia high school football program facing 2-year playoff ban

8-1 how much is the team that beat them cheating

    #6 Thomas Walker (7-3) @ #3 Eastside (9-1)
    #7 Pat. Henry (GS) (5-5) @ #2 Holston (9-1)

    #5 Grundy (6-4) @ #4 Honaker (7-3)
    #8 Rural Retreat (5-5) @ #1 Rye Cove (10-0)

    #6 Craig Co. (6-4) @ #3 Grayson Co. (6-3)
    #7 Giles (4-6) @ #2 George Wythe (7-3)

    #5 Parry McCluer (6-4) @ #4 Narrows (6-3)
    fixed - #8 Fort Chiswell (2-8) @ #1 Bath Co. (9-0)

Gonna go with Rye Cove getting upset in round 2 by Grundy and Eastside winning region.

I've seen Greeneville 4 times this year, the have the talent but play very undisciplined football, to many personal fouls  and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, they are relatively young too. The QB and best WR's are back next year but if the don't win this year it may be a long time, because Alcoa is moving up to 4A next year. Alcoa is a bunch of freshman, sophomores and juniors. So they can win it, yes! but will they that's why they play the games and footballs take funny bounces

Didn’t know Alcoa was moving up so yeah better win it this year

I wouldn't mind seeing a C/D cross bracket as well like they do in every other sport.

    #1 D hosts #2 C

    #1 C hosts #2 D

    Winners play in the semi.

Totally off topic but thought you may know I was told next season Union is having a hard time filling out their schedule.  They said we added Tazewell and we’re gonna play Gate City twice and still need another game so they’re trying to get West Ridge.  Any truth to this???

Is that officially happening? Does that mean the end of the Power Points?

Personally I love using the power points for seedings because it rewards you for playing tough OOC

I know PP are done but not sure if they’ve voted on anything else yet but maybe others on here know

Bath by 30+.  Baths defense plays at 100 mph and is one of the most physical teams around; they will bring the house over and over again.  If you kick to #8 on Bath you are a complete fool, he is one of the best players around that no one is talking about, he reminds me a lot of his Head Coach, Jacob Phillips.  Dude is legit.

Didn't Phillips play for Bath in late 90s early 2000s?  Name sounds very familiar from a Appalachia game

    1. Graham (9-0). 26.222
    2. Union (6-3). 23.556
    3. Ridgeview (7-2). 22.000
    4. Lebanon (7-2) 21.222
    5. Virginia (6-3). 20.778
    6. Gate City (6-3) 19.667
    7. Lee (5-4). 18.222
    8. Tazewell (4-5). 17.444
    9. Richlands (2-7). 13.778
    10. Central (2-7). 13.667
    11. Battle (0-9). 12.111
    12. Marion (0-9). 11.333

So we're just getting a bunch of rematches????  Looking at some of these games it might be time to go back to 4 or at least 6 and give top 2 a bye

I think it’s really a toss up right now with whichever end up 1-4 with 5 possibly upsetting 4. I honestly don’t see Ridgeview beating Union though even if they end up playing in round 2. If Union has to travel to Mitchell, then their odds of winning increase dramatically, lol.

Union probably would have a better chance at Graham which has always seemed odd

The term "beasts" may be overboard, but I think his basic argument was a 260 lb body wouldn't get pushed around as easily as a 180 lb body. I'm not sure which players he was specifically referencing.

Someone referenced the player as a freshman so I assume it’s Polier.  He’s the only Freshman I saw on the D Line.  Didn’t read all the previous posts so could be wrong

Not really.  Rv controlled the first game and it was never in doubt.

But VHS is well coached and if one of the top teams don’t bring their A game the could be in trouble.
I believe the top 3 have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

I’d be shocked if anyone beats Graham.  I think it’ll be Ridgeview and Graham playing for Region though.  Three weeks ago I thought Union had a chance but we seem to be in our late season swan dive right on time
