  1. Is Appo mostly Jr's and Sr's? Just trying to see when this run of complete dominance is going to slow down.πŸ˜‚
  2. Buddy I hope you get to blow that horn so much you have to buy a new one.
  3. The Gate City highlights someone posted last week was a lot of fun to watch. You mentioned it being hard for a Scout team to replicate a Wing T or a Straight T. Is it equally as hard for a say Union Scout team to replicate the Spread?
  4. Someone commented earlier in another thread that the kids at Graham should be glad they have the coaches they have. I can GUARANTEE you Tony Palmer, Isabelle(was a man in the 9th grade), Rick Disibbio, Rex Bradshaw, Mike Horton 1. Would not play like that and 2. Would not coach kids to play like that. I would have made a change maybe on defense. Would it have changed the outcome? Maybe not. Those kids were in position to make plays and didn't make them. I know I'm gonna hear it from the "they are children" crowd but it is what it is. I may have to put myself in timeout. Im getting pissed all over again🀣🀣
  5. It looked like an advantage this past Saturday. @redtiger touched on it in another thread and I think he's right. When a team is used to playing against mostly "spread" teams it's an adjustment when you go against a team that executes power football like a Union, Giles, Central, etc. The way some of those old Giles teams come off the ball was really impressive. When you go back and watch the Graham/Union game there was arm tackling or attempted arm tackling from the 2nd quarter on. More than once defensive lineman were going towards the LBs backwards at a high rate of speed. Tough for a LB to make a play like that. That last play of the game will forever haunt me. Lol Spread is probably an offense thats more "fun" to watch but for us old farts watching a team run it down another team's throat is also enjoyable. Just wish it didn't happen Saturday πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  6. That's the type of game film as a coach you want to show up Monday for practice and run Oklahoma drills till you have 11 guys left standing 🀣. Best thing Graham can do is remember that beating as best they can till August. Use it for fuel to bounce back.
  7. I know that particular DB has taken a ton of criticism for the last play, but like @Gridiron60 said there was a few others out there that halfway tried to make a tackle as well. Granted he completely dodged the runner and then come up "hurt" but their "attempts" wasn't much. After watching this game live then watching it again on nfhs the more frustrated I getπŸ˜‚ I guess human nature is to figure "why" or "what" went wrong. My only conclusion is weak schedule(no fault of their own). Maybe not as much weak as we didn't face a team all year that ran downhill like Union did. Is that a lame excuse? Maybe so lol. Going forward if I'm Palmer. I'd be more concerned with the LB play than anything else. Just my opinion. Take it for what its worth πŸ˜‚
  8. I like this new "translation" feature.
  9. Like I said earlier.......Didn't want none. Union punched us in the mouth........aka played football. We had a D lineman that got smoked the whole game too. Can't blame it all on the last play when you got punched the whole game. Again.....great game Union. Way to play football. On to next year lol
  10. No excuses from this Graham fan.@GMan said earlier something about them hanging out last night. He's absolutely right. You can't stay out goofin off the night before a big playoff game. They took Union lightly. Union proceeded to smack us in the mouth. Anybody watching that game either on nfhs or in person that knows body language at all could tell Graham didn't want none.
  11. Congratulations to Union on a great game. Very well executed on their part. Safe travels going home and good luck the rest of the way!!
  12. Doesn't have to be on school grounds
  13. As long as it's not Snake or Davis lol
  14. If you listen to his post it sounds like Ringstaff(principal) and Stacy(superintendent) basically told him to go on. In hindsight he probably wishes he had kept it under his hat until after the game today to tell them. If in fact that's the way it played out it certainly didn't make him look good in the public's eye. It is what it is at this point. This is hard for the program no matter what. Probably a good thing it was a shortened season and not too much time was invested.
  15. Safe travels to the Union folks making the trip to Bluefield tomorrow. Hope we all get to watch a good football game.
  16. Days of Our Lives don't have anything on Tazewell County this year.
  17. Other than getting smoked. Was there something else that happened?
  18. Out of reactions for the night. I agree. No way those kids would have confidence in him.
  19. In all honesty if he announced his resignation today. Do you want him to coach tomorrow? I'd tell him not to let the door hit him in the ass on his way out. But thats me.
