Whoever it is, they need to be able to help grow the underclassmen that are there and the youth coming up. I believe there are currently seven upcoming seniors for next year which all had played this season.

Doesn't matter who is selected to head coach, they still need support. My hope is that it is decided early so offseason preparations can begin.

The carousel has to stop at some point, no more rides. The foundation has to be set and built on trust and support, support from parents, kids, and the community. Do I want it back like in 1986, sure but everyone has to be involved. It has gotten to the point where "I don't have a kid on the team so I have no need to participate" or "let someone else take care of it" attitude. People in all categories of the school sports programs need to volunteer their time and see how much is involved, it's more than one night a month or three months out of the year. In my opinion I think that's a major problem for Tazewell football, people want a quick fix overnight and it's not going to happen. My two cents.

I can understand the grades scenario, as a parent if my kids start dropping academically then sports come second.

Some kids decide that it's not for them, it happens.

Been to a few of Tazewell's games. They had their act together, good combination of size and speed. Looking forward to watching these guys as they move up.

Poor blocking, poor tackling, poor play calling. Chilhowie wins 60-48.

If they keep containment and have better tackling, it'll be a close game. The emotion will carry over and I feel they'll squeak this one out.

Tazewell needs to strengthen their secondary and quit biting on the run.
