I know your statement is just a hypothetical, but buddy GC wouldn't walk through Graham with McClung sitting.

I’d have to disagree. I saw graham play Union earlier and graham won, but struggled. In fairness, cam Allen didn’t dress. We were down two players too, but that’s not the point. I’m no gc fan. Quite the opposite. But it’s playoff time and I’ll pull for them after Union is out. That being said, I stand by my statement respectfully.

He has 13 regular season games left. I assume that there will be a district tournament (3 games)? and a Region(3-4 games) tournament, quaterfinal, semi final, and state final...

Rough math says he has a max of 23 games left. He needs 34 points a game to achieve this. Of course, a lot of variables go into this. It is possible but doubtful I think.

That’s what I was curious about, the number of games left. It’ll be a show for sure. Thanks. And ur right @Unionguy_2017, can’t count him out.

Will be rooting hard for the Bears to win, but that is a huge gap to close from last year. Can they do it? If they can tackle in space as well as they did against Graham, hold on to the football by running for 3-4 yards a pop with zero turnovers and minimal penalties, they have a shot.

Appy vs PM in 91. Lost 49-2.

Then Appy wins vs PM in 92.

I had to constantly switch hands to keep from getting blisters. I'm thinking about getting one of those shiny Michael Jackson gloves for my designated cowbell hand. LOL

Lol. I’ve got my handle wrapped with a baseball bat grip. So I’m thinking batters gloves haha. Swapping hands didn’t help. I had these two by the first qtr and they were busted. Devotion haha. Plus the bell is about six pounds. It’s not Thor’s hammer. Maybe it’s little cousin.

I was at the PV/Appy game and I remember people being packed in at least 10 to 15 rows deep around the track. It was crazy packed. I hope tomorrow blows both of those games out on attendance! I would love to see numbers of 12,000 or more there!

That would be crazy wouldn’t it!  Can’t wait!!!

My only question is.... Is Bullit Park ready to be loud?

I think so. I’ve got two busted blisters on my hand from ringing my cowbell every snap graham took last week that haven’t healed yet. And I plan on wrapping up and doubling down this week as well. I was at the 97 game. Electric is the buzz word. Tomoorw could very well eclipse that level. I can’t wait to see the turn out. I’m guessing 8k in all reality.

Owens isn't a better back that Mitchell. Not even close. Owens is a great RB, but he's the speed back. He isn't capable of running tough in the middle to gain big yards whereas Mitchell can bang inside for five yards, take a counter for ten years or break off an 80 yarder. He is more versatile than Owens and tougher to tackle.

Also Qualls isn't on same level as a DB compared to Mitchell. He is a good corner and has made some fantastic plays but he can also be caught out of position and be burnt at times.

I am too, very much so. And in no way was I downing Dakota or Qualls. But they aren't as talented at Mitchell, whether it's as a runner or DB.

I think u may want to look at the numbers.  Owens has more rushing yards this post season and qualls has more ints this post season. If u read the whole post James brings a high level at all the points as to where the other young men may be better at one or two things but not near as rounded. Just saying by the numbers, the stats show they are better at one to two things. Owens is faster and has more yards than James which makes him the better back.  qualls has more picks and passes defended which makes him right there with James as a db. Qualls may not be as good but he isn't far behind James. Point blank. Our backfield has a kid that is faster than James with more yards this post season and another db that has more picks this post season and maybe even this season. That tells me that Owens is the better running back and Qualls is right behind James as a Dd.  hints the reason James is being recruited as a tightend and not a Db or running back

I could care less what the numbers say. Numbers lie. Watch the film. Mitchell can do everything as a runner, whereas Owens is primarily used on the edges and never between the tackles. Mitchell can get bruising yards up the gut while still being able to get outside on designed outside runs and go yard. Owens doesn't have 82s versatility.

James is being recruited as a TE because he is 6'4. Where are all these schools lining up to offer Owens scholarships to D1 schools?

On the DB point, Qualls has more INTs (not by much) because teams avoid throwing at James like the plague. I'm not downing either player, but to anyone who has watched Union thks season, they see it's clear Mitchell is by far the best DB and he's also the best runner this year.

I think in the long run, we could all agree that Mitchell makes Owens better and vice versa.  Same with James and Qualls.  What has made this years Union team so deadly is they are not a group of good athletes.  They are a sum of all parts.  A unit, a team.  Battling of each other and having the next man up attitude.  Each of the formentioned players could easily be the stud for several teams in the Region D.  But their team oriented and understand that the "we" is bigger than the "me".

Lighten up. I'm sorry to hear about the kid that got injured, and hope him the best,  but on this board we all joke and jab at each other, and as a Richlands fan I have heard about anything you can hear about recruiting, but when our team is out, we pull for the team from our area that is still playing, even if it is the team that just beat ours, whose fans may have posted about recruiting.  IMO if you are coming to this board, bring a tough skin, take everything lightly, be a good sport, and know that if Appo wins over Union, we will be pulling for them in the State final.  That's just the way it works, no need to get all huffy and out of shape about it, just learn to enjoy the atmosphere. A Richlands Fan that says GO BEARS!!!!!

I'm even pulling for Bluefield, WV to win the WV state title Friday night!  Go Beavers!!!

I guess yall didnt get the memo about the kicker. Jamerson graduated last year and plays for U of Charleston as starting punter. We have a solid kicker just as good or even better that can BANG!!!!! He will hit a FG from 50 if they put him out here. He is a transfer from a private school in area (Fuqua). He is only a Junior. Dont worry...the 80 yard drives will still happen. This kid is amazing and probably going to be highly recruited next year.

Same answer. If our D stays strong, he should only get a couple few kicks anyway.

Hope he does well in college.

Okay...question is....WHO SAVING ME A SEAT? Hot dog on me, but I hear the pizza is good.

This was some good reading material. I dont come on this forum, but now I know why, but I had to read what was being said about this game.

I actually thought Union's one dimensional O was going to be easy to beat by Raiders, but I changed my views on that. I actually seen Appo get ran on a few times this season. One thing that nobody is talking about on here is TURNOVERS! I think who wins that battle wins game. I do believe this is going to be a tight game and no "walk in the (bullit) park." If the atmosphere is something that yall think we will fear? You thought wrong. 90% of this team has been at big games when the atmosphere was electric. Now the bus ride on Saturday.....Now that might take a toll on us...I hope not but its been a while since we have traveled that far. It is what it is and may the best team win on Saturday. FYI...I will be streaming from Hampton....Wont be at the game.

Nothing new? We seen it last year so them reactions have already been shown when we wondered where the team was until we heard the reasoning for the late entrance. It crept the crowd like somebody passed gas.

Why dont you post it buddy? EH...And Im the "dramatic" one.....riiiiiiiight? You a dang trip.

Agreed on the turnover game. Take always for the D is huge and will be in this game. As for our late arrival, I’m sure it’ll be a little different at our home field. Congrats on the back to back titles. That requires respect. Great run. But I’ve got a gut feeling the run stops at the Park.

On a a side note, your coach seems top notch.
