  1. I’m out of reactions but yes! We’ll keep those two former Blues’ coaches! No take backs, lol! 😂
  2. Exactly! Maybe he doesn’t deserve all the trash talking he’s received the past 24 hours but it could have been partially curtailed if he would have held that letter until Monday. I’m sure UVA wouldn’t have minded if he showed up Monday afternoon rather than Sunday. He did himself no favors with the timing and Ringstaff/Stacey compounded the situation. Yeah, he looks like the bad guy but I wish him well and hope the Blue “Tornado” find a coach that’s a good fit for them who will stay more than one season to rebuild the program.
  3. I don’t think anyone is really begrudging him for taking an opportunity to coach at the next level. I certainly am not but I think his timing is what makes it questionable and open to criticism. Couldn’t he have waited until Monday & finished out the season? I’m sure UVA wouldn’t have objected to him finishing out the season or waiting until Monday for him to submit his letter of resignation to Tazewell Co. (Unless as someone suggested he was asked to leave & had no control over the information being put out there; if so, unfortunate for everyone including him).
  4. He was hired as teacher & AD in addition to head coach. He gave up teaching position and AD before he ever started but remained head coach. I don’t think he wanted to teach anything but weightlifting and he was going to have an SOL tested class or so I heard.
  5. Sometimes a team has a bad game. Tazewell had costly turnovers that ended with scores for Central. Central played well and pretty much flawlessly. They are well coached too. Tazewell is better than they performed in my opinion and made no adjustments whatsoever which hurt them. I’ve said all along Union has a chance to beat Graham. Nothing is a given especially in the playoffs. Hope it’s a good game & GMen win! If Union, I’ll certainly congratulate them.
  6. What did you see? 🤷🏻‍♂️You have to elaborate when you make a post like that, man!
  7. I don’t know if he was asked to leave but I’m sure the thing with UVA-Wise has been in the works. I even mentioned last week in a thread about him coaching at the collegiate level such as UVA-Wise because I’ve heard those rumblings since he took the reins at Richlands.
  8. From the Richlands Blue “Tornado” Facebook Page: Thank you Coach Wells for leading the program through what was the wildest year we’ve ever known. Good luck at the next level! And good luck to Coach Tarter as he takes the reigns for tomorrow’s plus-one game at Ridgeview. #GoBlue🌪 Somebody being way too kind. Who’s the moderator of that page? 😂 Should be take the “reins”, somebody let Ryan know so he can correct them. 😂😂😂 JK
  9. I’m just anxious to see if the Thad Wells thread can reach epic proportions like the Akers thread did. With all things considered, Wells seems deserving 😂😂😂😂😂
  10. Congratulations to Central on a well played game. Congratulations to Tazewell on a very good season and beating county rival Richlands this season! Hold your heads high Dawgs! You have a loyal fan base & I know they’re very proud of you.
  11. I’m not predicting a Graham win. With very little prep time & other factors, Graham will have to play hard and well to win. I’m hoping they do but it won’t be cakewalk. Go GMen!!!
  12. As a Graham fan, you might be right. Central is executing flawlessly. They are playing excellent football right now.
  13. Turnovers are killing Tazewell. Central playing lights out right now.
  14. It has to be a punch in the gut to those boys. I feel sorry for them with him leaving so soon after taking the helm.
  15. Isn’t he some kind of life coach or inspirational speaker??
  16. Surely, he’ll coach that game. That would be truly classless if he didn’t.
  17. Which is a shame for a program that was solid for so many years under the leadership of Mance & his veteran coaches.
  18. Technically, no! Technically speaking, every game counted , regardless of what everyone else argues. So he ended his tenure with a 3-3 record.
  19. It’s a little classless but I guess it’s his right to determine what’s best for him and his family. However, had they hired Ronnie Davis, I guarantee he wouldn’t have resigned after one season. Hope he stays at Graham.
  20. Well, that Cinderella story ended abruptly. Is he showing up for this week’s game with Ridgeview, lol?
  21. That literally made me laugh out loud!
  22. So is he giving up football at Richlands?
