Looks like the number of entrants for each classification has been set by the VHSL for the State Tournaments 2017-2018.
 
3A to 6A will have four per weight class per Region for a total of 16 in for the State Tournament.
 
1A & 2A will have three per weight class per Region for a total of 12 in for the State Tournament.
 
I guess with 30 teams statewide in 1A and 40 teams in 2A neither has the number of teams to allow four entrants per wight class.
 
Please correct me on this if I have it wrong.

Can't argue with anything here. From what I've heard, Terry Wess was a one man wrecking crew.
My favorite player that I remember watching has to be Jermey McCommins. That kid made a lot of teams look rediculous from both sides of the ball.

Va High OT win was one of the more exciting Richlands games I have attended.
 
"Get him Wicks" hit against Hidden Valley is very memorable.
 
Gate City playoff win last year.
 
Not sure if it was 05 or 06 but Richlands defense had a 6 game scoreless streak going into the game @ Tazewell.  Tazewell kicked a FG to go up 3-0 in the 1st quarter and you would have thought that Tazewell had won the state championship. 

They both played against NC and represented SWS district quite well.

yeah, i looked at my dad right before that kickoff and said they have both the richlands boys on the field at the same time, and rob knocked the crap out of his guy him and austin had very key blocks, See to make a big play just put the boys from Richlands in

I did not see the Georgia Tech- Va Tech game until seeing the replay on ESPN. Rob made one of the key blocks to set up David Wilson's game winning 90 yard kick return touchdown. Good job #85.
