Who is this best athlete? Find it incredibly hard to have a better athlete that is better than Lowe Musick or bandy
Pruett is what you have if you put Lowe’s explosiveness, Bandy’s toughness and Musick’s size into one player. I realize for many folks in Russell Co that may seem like an exaggeration, but it’s not. Dude is the real deal.
In the SWD, I think Graham takes the reigns back from V-High. Graham returns most of the team, plus a couple of key additions. V - High lost their big man and a couple of key players.
Lebanon returns 4 starters off of a 20 win team. They will be the favorite coming into the season I would think.
Postseason baseball is much different than regular season. Auburn will be a stern test for Lebanon. Auburn has been in this spot just as much, if not more, than Lebanon the past few seasons.
No one said Auburn would not be a tough test or a good test – what was said is that they are the best team that Lebanon has seen in Virginia all year and I disagree with that. Abingdon is certainly better.
I figure they will get Auburn. Auburn will probably be their toughest test this season in the state of Virginia. Lebanon should still be favored though.

Anyone else think six classifications in a sport like soccer is way too much? They could probably do four. Classes 1 and 2 could easily be combined for soccer.
One could say the same about EVERY sport when it comes to class 1 and 2.
Wouldn't surprise me if Bostic and Moore switched positions. Bostic's son is currently playing and Moore has a daughter that will be coming through in the next couple years.
Sounds to me like Moore’s daughter may not attend Union
Graham girls are very good and have one player that really sticks out. Richlands, Tazewell & Virginia High girls are all pretty good teams too and on a normal year they could all compete for the region D championship but Graham has beaten them all handily this season, with the exception of one game against Richlands that they won 3-1 .
On the boys side, Graham and Lebanon are probably the two best teams with Honaker a tic behind. Lebanon split with Graham and swept Honaker although both games were very close. Not sure anyone has anything for Galax or Radford, but I would be surprised if anyone other than these three teams won their respective Region Titles.
GOOD!!! I've known Scott a long time. Class act dude and very sharp. He will do well as the Head Coach at Lebanon, and the kids will benefit from him as their Head Coach.

I have, and sometimes the shoe fits….
You may have a different opinion based on your relationship/encounters with him which is fine, but even his best friends will probably tell you that Jimmy isn’t lacking for…well let’s say confidence.
Don’t get me wrong I hate when a crew blows the whistle every 30 seconds of game clock that not fun to watch at all. Last night felt like an over correction from the last game. It was fair atleast they didn’t call a thing the game only last an hour and 10 mints from tip to final buzzer.
Never thought I would see the day when Lebanon is considered a physical team, but I’ve come around to their toughness this year. That was an impressive defensive effort.
