I expect V - High to win again. I agree about that zone defense. It will be hard for Graham to get the rebounds, # 12 for V-High is a glass eater, as Dicky Vitale would say. The other big man for V-High is hard to deal with on the boards too. Graham will have to out-hustle them, can't afford to lay back in the zone. They have to press and create turnovers to have a chance.

After 1 quarter Union girls lead Richlands 7-2.

Graham's best players are the younger players. They have a good upside, but make freshmen mistakes. I'm not convinced that Graham can make it to the region D title game. Although, they did stay pretty close to Va High this last time.

Pure Salmon is on schedule. There is a pre-manufacturee housing materials plant coming to Bluefield. I would like to see the Bluestone developed for recreation. A nice e golf course could go in up there too.

Agree. The elementary schools will be closed and consolidated before the High Schools. (Speculation). The most recent rumors of a long range "plan" that has been mentioned calls for 2 schools in each town. One k-7 and One 8-12.

I see them closing all of the elementary schools and having a k-7 and a High School with grades 8-12 in Bluefield, Tazewell and Richlands. The current High Schools would serve as k-7 and the Middle Schools as the 8-12 High Schools. Unless Tazewell County gets a deal like Buchanan County did with the Army Corp of engineers, the first thing would be to close facilities, cut costs and consolidate schools.

It's like living in your parents basement.

Graham vs an also shorthanded Martinsville is currently 29-26 at half in favor of the Bulldogs.

I think they had 4 varsity (1 starter) , brought up a few jv players. Played pretty well considering the corcumstances.

They were trying hard to get 100 at the end too...smh.

Close game throughout. Graham had was up by 5 when the game was called. Tazewell played well, but had a lot of un-forced turnovers that cost them.

I think its gonna eventually happen, but as all things in this area, it will take longer then expected.

Glad to see Graham keeping the series with PC. Blacksburg has been awful the past 2 seasons.

Graham tops Richlands 75-49. Markel Ray was 8 out of 9 from 3 point range. Game got a little chippy towards the end. Typical of these 2 teams when they meet.

Yeah, that's a pretty big school. Could be another tough one. Graham has a good team, they are young and they have played a monster schedule so far. If they get out of this season with 7 to 9 losses, that will be a good outcome for this team.

Graham falls to 1-4 with a 40-30 loss to Poca today. Rough schedule so far, things will get easier from this point on. Still have to play Martinsville, Bluefield and V-High again. Would be nice to see them upset one of those 3.

V- High beats Graham 65-51. New sheriff in town in the southwest district.

They are at halftime right now in Bristol and V High is blowing the doors off of Graham. 33-14 at half. Graham looks completely out of sync and are really showing their youth. Terrible 2nd quarter, I think they only scored 4 points in the 2nd.
