  1. Bluefield was short handed against PikeView and should be back at full strength, except for Hairston who is out for the season with an injury. This is their homecoming game and they will be motivated to win. Tazewell's defense got exposed big time last night. Richlands spread Tazewell's defense out and Brown was able to pick a lane and run, when the linebackers stepped up to try to tackle him, he dumped it off to a wide open receiver. Bluefield has more athleticism then Richlands and their QB is athletic as well. Tazewell needs to figure something out on Defense. I think they can move the ball and score on Bluefield, but can they stop the Beavers? That will be the big question.
  2. That's the question of the century. I'm sure that answer would vary greatly. But I do see your point, that too many trophies could lessen their meaning.
  3. Yes and Mr. James C. Ramey was a huge part of the Tazewell and Richlands Community. He was greatly respected. How many rivalries across the country have trophies associated with them? Too many to count. You want to call this game the "BackYard Brawl" and associate some meaning to it, there should be a trophy......good grief, people just need to get over it and don't worry about what other teams do. Richlands gets this trophy when they win too, yet nobody gives them a hard time over it. If you don't like it, at least quit being Karens about it.
  4. We may have to wait quite a while for that.. .
  5. I agree. Let those kids and their friends and family celebrate. This is what a true rivalry should be like. Celebrate beating your rival. Enjoy this win Bulldogs!!
  6. No parade, just a police escort....and fire trucks...and people cheering from the side of the street....never-mind. But hey, the folks in Tazewell love their bulldogs!!
  7. Man, it would be great to hear Larry Hypes say "How about them Dogs?" right about now.
  8. Thanks. Because I'm not the best at Geography and I don't really care about the schools up that way much anyway.
  9. I'm just messin with ya. All in good fun.
  10. Good, entertaining game to watch. Richlands made the offensive adjustments they needed to have a chance to win this game. Tazewell didn't have an answer for the spread formation. Brown is a heck of a ball player. Good luck to both teams moving forward. Very happy for the Bulldogs!! Good news that there was a parade tonight, up and down the field at Ernie Hicks, but it was from both teams!!
  11. Good Grief. I'm just waiting on some defense.
  12. I would love to see some defense in this Tazewell vs Richlands game.
  13. McDonald is just a sophomore. He has a very bright future. He has a very high ceiling.
  14. Tazewell needs to make some defensive adjustments for sur.e
  15. Just trying to see the best in the situation. I'm watching on NFHS, not paying attention to "body language". Let's not assume the worst.
  16. I think it's part of the team up against Cancer theme to the game tonight. Nothing disrespectful.
  17. Both bands will be wearing pink tonight. The theme is "Rivals on the field, Teammates against Cancer". Both of these schools have been hit hard with cancer the past several years. Tazewell has lost more then its share of students to this horrible disease. I am proud of the kids from both schools taking a stand against cancer. We may be rivals on the field, but we are all human and we all have struggles with our lives. I'm glad to see the schools coming together, honestly both of these schools do a great job of coming together over difficult issues. All of these kids are winners if you ask me. Good luck to both teams. Go Dawgs!!
  18. The few players that I have talked to are more motivated then I have seen them all year. I'm excited for this one. I think they are eager to play.
