  1. Pulaski is manhandling Bluefield at the line of scrimmage. 28-20 Cougars Sitting here in Mitchell watching this, thinking that the G men are going to be in a battle with this team in a few weeks. Good to see a good PC team showing up here.
  2. Agree. Impressed with the improvement for the Cougars from last season.
  3. Pulaski looks much better then last year's team.
  4. Said they will "look" like a new team. New uniforms?
  5. Watching Colonial Heights vs New Kent on NFHS, think the Dogs can take this one.
  6. That would be an interesting match up.
  7. Exactly. I just don't see how Richlands can match the team speed of Graham. There best option is to try to control possession and keep the ball away from Graham and that will be a daunting task against that defense.
  8. Wonder if they are taking a pep bus or fan bus?
  9. In all seriousness, however. I like it when all County teams are competitive. I would love to see Richlands make a game of it and turn the corner.
  10. Agree. Hope it is, with the Bulldogs coming out on top.
  11. Graham's strength on offense right now is the rushing game. However, they do return a few good receivers from last season, including the one that put the dagger into Union late in the regular season game last year. Chris Edwards is emerging as a good receiving threat as well. Graham is far from having an elite passing game, but I would imagine it will come along as the season goes. The QB has a good arm and the line affords him some time. He does a good job, but he doesn't have the escape ability that last year's qb had. Graham's QB scrambling and making something out of nothing last year kept Graham in that first Union game, if you ask me. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. It will be hard to run on Graham, they have a very good D-Line and good speed at outside linebackers and DE. They held Bluefield's Hairston to 18 yards. Perhaps more impressive was shutting down E.C. Glass a couple of weeks ago (even though it was a scrimmage). The defense is ahead of the offense for Graham, but the offense is catching up. (I know they scored 38 on Tazewell, but that's how good I think their Defense is). If they develop a consistent passing game, watch out.
  12. Hate quoting myself, but you can actually go 460 all the way to Petersburg. forget that part I said aobut going 307 to 360, that'll take you down Hull Street in Richmond (That's how I used to go to stop by and visit old friends). easiest to take 460 to Petersburg then 95.
  13. I guess they could go over Bishop Mountain and go route 16... not sure.
  14. Considering the Drive down 52, it's a fair trade off. I may be in the minority here, but I like the road trip and think it will be good for the boys. Different experience. A lot of those kids have never been out of the area.
  15. Same and there are plenty of places to stop along the way.
  16. As for Graham vs Union, it seems these games come down to the last minute, or one team dominates and there is no in between. I expect this one to come down to the wire. If either team wins by 10 or more, I would be surprised.
  17. A day trip would be rough to make. I would either go up Friday night and stay or head up saturday morning and come back Sunday. The best way to go is 81 to 460 to 307(just past Farmville) to 360 (Petersburg) to 95. Unless you like driving the interstate the whole way, then it's 81 to 64 to 95. Not much difference in drive time. About 6 hours. .
  18. The community has supported the team as long as I can remember. The fans show up through thick or thin.
