How big is David Crockett's technical foul call against Paul Huff looking now? Union would've won the regular season by virtue of the tiebreak without that fiasco.
Central got almost every call after McAmis picked up a foul near half court and Dotson started working the refs. The officials in this area are obviously intimidated by him.
She is definitely being wasted at Abingdon. She will be at Central next year
If you think she's being wasted at Abingdon, then Central isn't the place to go. Next year is McAmis' senior year and they will be doing everything they can to get her to the top of the state scoring list.
Big games for Terran Owens and Isaiah Justice for Ridgeview against Battle. Both ended with 20 points and hit some big shots to start runs after Battle cut into the lead.
if you can get two after every TD, I'd never kick PAT. The Bears were lighting up those 2 point conversions. Definitely need a kicker instead of doing those squib kicks every single time giving opponents great field position. It's great if the kicking team can recover the ball but that wasn't the case Saturday. Turner needs to attend a few soccer games this season and recruit him somebody that can boot it.
Speaking of kickers, Connor Smith from Ridgeview is BY FAR the best kicker in the district.
Just finished watching the Central/KACHEA game and the Warriors best chance of being successful this season is to let Collins take over. He went on a run of about 12-0 himself in the third quarter.
I'm sure it's been said more than once, but it's coincidental that Richlands has fallen on hard times while most everyone around them has found success consistently and as of late. Graham, Taz, Honaker, and Grundy have been solid the past couple of years during the slide in claypool hill. Hard times won't last forever but the foundation is there to rebuild in a decent time frame for whomever gets the chance to sit in the captain's chair. I still think a couple of m7 coaches looking to move up/around will be in the mix.
To me this loss is worse than the Abingdon game. Sure it doesn't help when you lose your best player in the first half but the coaching decisions have been atrocious. When the people in the stands can call the play when they line up it's pretty bad. They might as well wrap up this season now and work for the future. Unfortunately, with Stanley at the helm, the future doesn't look too bright.
I'm tired of seeing the social media posts complaining about games being played tonight. It's football; an OUTDOOR sport!!! One mom even said she was going to have a talk with the principal if her son ends up getting sick 🤣
