With everything being on NFHS now, can that footage be used to determine if a suspension is deemed necessary?

Anybody notice a common trend on this board? In every season a player from Tazewell is the best player in their sport, yet the TEAM isn't very good.

I was talking about boys but both games could potentially be good. I didn't think Ridgeview girls would beat Central but they pulled it out.

Big game tonight between two of the top teams in the M7. This one could have big conference championship implications. Ridgeview has yet to be tested, however GC has already had a few close games. Playing at GCMS is never easy but I think the Pack will weather the storm and come out on top in a close one.

I initially questioned the call as well. Upon further review, the call on the court was confirmed lol.

Watch it again, #12 pulled Hill's pony tail. That's an automatic intentional foul.

Just watched this one on NFHS. Abingdon was outcoached, that's what it comes down to. The way that Ramsey and Osborne are (not) used on offense is mind blowing. Add that to the lack of discipline and not taking care of the ball at the end, not a good way to start the conference schedule. Hats off to Coach Barnes on having his team ready. Anybody else notice that Ramsey was trying to call timeout at the end? Not saying it would have made a difference, but it would have given them a chance at a heave.

The only thing that saved RV from getting into serious foul trouble is their depth. I'm all for a kid being aggressive and trying to get to the basket but some of those calls were head scratchers.

You are somewhat right. The first technical was for shoving a player, then later he got his 5th foul and threw a tantrum. As for the rest of the game, 72 free throws!!!! How many did Collins shoot? Seemed like he went to the line every time down the floor.

He got a technical for shoving a player right in front of an official then proceeded to throw a fit once he got to the bench.

This one isn’t even over but my assessment of this one is that RV has more athletes that happen to have a little bit of basketball talent. Collins for Central is a good player but he got bailed out a lot on his spin moves to the basket. He also likes to use the ole chicken wing when he makes his initial move. The Dotson kid shouldn’t see the floor again. After the fight last year and temper tantrum tonight I would ask for his jersey and tell him to stay at home. There’s no place for that.

Don't know if I would call it a quality win, but a win is a win.

Completely agree. Houseright could have taken the kids at Ridgeview and done just as good or better. No way does Stanley do as good at Gate City.

Haven't seen the whole list but just saw on Facebook that Hill got M7 defensive player of the year. Going to guess that Beavers gets OPY.

Ridgeview loses 10 offensive and 9 defensive if I remember correctly.

Just started watching the replay of Radford/Appomattox. Why were the officials sending so many Appo players to the sidelines?

I was wondering when someone would bring this up. I wonder how many parents have held their kids back just simply to have them at home one more year.

What are everybody's thoughts on high school transfers and holdbacks? I know it has been happening for years but with my kids getting older the topic gets brought up often. I go back and forth on it and can't make up my mind either way. I know my kids aren't going to be standouts or play professionally, but I would like for them to at least have a chance to see the field/court when they get to high school.

I know it would be hard to sit down and compare stats, but I hate that coaches will literally make deals to get kids on a list.

Some teams are still concerned about playing games, not who won the popularity contest to get their name on a piece of paper.
