  1. 93.5 is also covering it, Shanghai on the call there. Ridgeview didn't put their food in the neck when they should have, let a very dangerous Graham team hang around, now they are going to have to show what they are made of.
  2. Whomever the guy in front of the radio sure sounds friendly 🙂
  3. What was the turnover, bad timed phone call here
  4. And that shows the game is far from over, quick score
  5. Well glad to see Ridgeview out of the gate well.
  6. I'm glad they managed this one because kind of felt like they didn't take Richlands as serious as they should have last week. Guessing the talk between the two programs, mostly in youth football, there was no not being ready.
  7. So with VT getting rid of Fuente, wonder where Justin Hamilton will end up. Him being a very young Defensive Coordinator, can't see him having the pull to stay, unless he wows someone incredibly. For the most part, the defense has looked pretty good this year, kept them in games as the offense has been generally absent. I hate it, didn't get a good year last year due to him getting Covid and lots of the players/other coaches, so this year was still a lot of just getting adjusted/people in system but seemed to be coming along. I'd think have to be going down to a smaller level to rebuild resume a bit, he apparently is impressive and sells it well, seen several of the recruits really praising him.
  8. Going by early part of game, thought Central would win by 2 TDs. Ridgeview adjusted a bit and has found enough playmakers to be pretty tough to defend as long as they don't beat themselves.
  9. Central's coaches for the second time I think...at least according to radio.
  10. Ridgeview forces Central to punt for the first time
  11. I haven't been on and around too much, real world has took my interaction and time with sports and other things in general but glad this board seems to be pretty sane. I would come skim some, not post much but trying to dip my toes into finding fun sometimes again, at least now and then.
  12. Ridgeview loves the long ball but Central has a good secondary apparently which is causing those long throws to be at risk when they hang up too much.
  13. Ridgeview on the board. 10-7 Central ahead
  14. Just don't lose your sanity like some of the crap on the old LPD Forum did for us lol
  15. Thanks I used to always trust WDIC but guess they changed things when changed ownership. Now I can work and get mad at the same time.
  16. Is the game being covered anywhere to listen to? I'd be tempted to watch but working on a few things and too cheap to pay to watch something that I'd probably only get to watch 1/3 of.
  17. From the broadcast, Ridgeview went for it on 4th and goal from the 5 and it sounds like caught it on the 1/2 yard line. Sounds like was a lot ot confusing on catch, non-catch, in end zone, not in end zone, but Richlands got the ball inside the 1, I think tried once up the gut and generally nothing and then pitched wide and didn't escape. Take it as absolute non-gospel though lol
  18. Amen. I don't want to listen to coverage that isn't at least mostly neutral. I don't mind a bit of hometeam bias,it's hard to not get that when there are stations that tend to cover only one team and I get it a bit more in the playoffs because its the end for pretty much all of the senior kids and the emotion at the end, sadness, saying close calls and been different, etc. but this one just bad. I try to not criticize the coverage because I'm always glad when someone is covering the games, but this was one where I multiple times turned the coverage off and would come back later to get an update. I'm fine listening to specific teams home stations/coverages most of the time, you get a lot of it and understand the hometeam support but it was past that line and into the gag worthy.
  19. Well no flag as they apparently waved it off or at least what was said
  20. Listening to game, granted it was Richlands broadcast, there was controversy on most of the end of the game stuff. Interference call, a weird 4th down play that apparently the ball was on like the half inch line, the end was a celebration penalty but end of game, no kick/flag/or extra point even. Sounded chaotic as can be, just from the part I got to listen to, and sounds like Ridgeview definitely overlooked Richlands (stupid) and it probably should have cost them (you win a game on the last play of the game of a team you handled a few weeks ago, even when you picked it up a bit, you probably didn't deserve the win. So that should be them and Central matching back up.
  21. Ridgeview lucky to win that game, listening to it on the station found it was hard to grasp as it was a bit too hometeamy to get a good grasp on.
  22. I found it on a Richlands station and it has been difficult to listen, I didn't realize I gotten used to a lot of our local stations coverage, who most don't just cover one and don't tend to do 'us' we' and a lot more nicknames and cheering for one team so much. I've listened to WDIC and gotten mad before that they seemed to try to avoid being seen as 'pro' our team and/or neutral that they would almost go the other way.....that isn't the case here at all lol
  23. Caught a bit of a Richlands broadcast and sounds like coaches son was about to into it with the officials at the half. Strange. Ridgeview hopefully had the sense to not overlook Richlands, especially playing there. They wanted to keep score low and they appear to be doing their goal.
  24. So question, is this covered anywhere now, since it doesn't appear that WDIC is covering it.
  25. Well for the mentality of a lot anymore, flipping off is a role model tactic, didn't throw fists. I kid but too many don't have role models before they get to varsity level....or little league level
