My son plays for Galax and they're not thinking about any of this mess, they're are concentrating on Grayson right now and if they get by them then they can think about GW.

VHSL has updated the bracket to show GW vs Covington on Thursday at 7

I believe if Galax ran the ball more in the first half they probably win that game but the officiating definitely wasn't good overall. Just my opinion

Not if Riverheads stays in 1A and I doubt they would be as dominant as Riverheads has been for as long as they have been regardless.

Thought so just making sure lol. It's funny because a guy from Grayson was telling us how bad our line was before the game.

Are you talking about Grayson or Galax getting blown off the ball?

I'm definitely not qualified to do it or have I ever claimed to be but I am grateful for people willing to do it( even know I dont always agree with the calls) that being said I don't know anyone who would agree with all the calls.

I always go to the game in person if at all possible and yes the officials caught some slack from the stands(some of the calls and non calls were bad and that's to be expected) but from my understanding what was heard on NFHS was one of the Grayson coaches but I have no idea how true that is.

When you click on brackets it says this game is on Friday but the the thing running across vhsl website says Thursday, anyone know for sure what day?

Crazy that we can't get enough refs for playoffs.....

Couldn't get Friday night to upload but it says mainly clear and low of 35 so looking like Friday night would be better as far as weather is concerned.

If GW is playing as good as everyone says this will not be close, GW big!

Galax seems to always get Grayson's best game and I'm sure we will Friday night. I'd say Grayson will throw some stuff at us that we haven't seen on film and it is a cross county rivalry so who knows. Galax hasn't really played a complete game since Radford and they need to start playing all 4 quarters and quit playing flat in the second half. I don't want to have play them 2 weeks in a row either but it is what it is.

Read on another post that Giles and Glenvar were considering playing on Saturday.

Glenvars turf field should handle the water fine if they decide to play tomorrow night in the rain.

Talking about a bigger gate draw at UVA-Wise would depend alot on who they were playing, teams from up north or east will probably travel better to Salem than UVA-Wise so it probably wouldn't make that big a difference. The teams you mentioned all have plenty of fans willing to drive to Salem for a state championship game.

I didn't see the 2016 Appo team but I did see the 2016 Riverheads team and they were one of the more impressive teams I've seen in along time. Like I said I can't compare them because I only seen one of the teams but if both teams were that good I sure would've liked to see that match up.

Yes I believe the 2016 Riverheads team would compete in 2A, not saying they would've won it all but they would've been right there close to it. I think alot of people underestimate just how good they really are and I doubt there are 4-6 2A teams better than them right now ( just my personal opinion) but we will probably never know because they play 1A.
