  1. I think Union is a good team, very hard nosed, physical and typically has a solid game plan. At the end of day, they are all kids. They all make mistakes, make plays at critical points and execute in high leverage situations. Graham made more than Union last night, they won the game. Not sure why people cant come to grips with reality. At this point, both are very competitive teams but Graham is better so far in 2022.
  2. You dont get yardage on penalty yards.
  3. Take away the 51 yd counter, Union is shut out. A W is a W , an L is an L.
  4. Also Hughes played in the middle last year and moved to OLB with Sawyers, so I think its an adjustment most don't realize. in today's game, everyone tries to spread defenses out and so having guys that can be physical but play in space is huge. Just my opinion. I'm just a GMen fan, but try to be objective.
  5. Rex and Snake will have them ready. Their game planning is usually spot on. I agree , the LOS battle will be critical and a big measuring stick. I don't see a one dimensional running team consistently scoring on Graham without a great line and a special back like Lomax or Claiborne.
  6. Not sure means possibly. Satterfield can ball, no question. Its hard to evaluate playing teams without a W and no offfense. All I'm saying is 3 of 4 starting Graham lb's return. Gave up only one TD in district last year. They have given up less than a 100 total rushing yards in three games combined this year. If Satterfield is Lomax, I'm buying , but thats a big ask.
  7. 77 total including JV time by my count. Hairston had 14, Tazewell , net 1 for the game.
  8. Wasn't Sawyers the defensive player of the game against Tazewell? I thought that's what the radio guys said. He and Blevins were hurt last year in the semi finals and finals and didn't play a snap on D. If you watch the games, he is who covers in space and rushes occasionally. I think people need to consider scheme when they make comments. Just my opinion.
  9. So the Gmen have given up 77 yards rushing total in 3 games and their LB's are bad? That comment is so delusional. Not sure Union has a LB that could start at Graham. I'm sure sure Coaches aopreciate the bulletin board material though.
  10. They are no bigger than Grahams linebackers and definitely not as fast. The Gmen return 7 starters from last years D that held Union to 13 pts in the playoffs with Lomax. No offense, I just don't think the Bears have anyone Lomax's caliber this year and the passing game is worse.
  11. I guess he saw a real defense this week!- lmao
  12. Interested to see Radford - Christiansburg this year. Radford is a solid team. Still got to deal with Appo in Region C.
  13. A little confused (gift wrapped)????? Tazewell had a total of 114 yards of offense. They were dominated . they executed maybe two plays all game. If Graham doesn't turn the ball over, somebody will need multiple D1 offensive players to give them trouble. They played with Glass and done well. Nobody in this region has that many athletes.
  14. Me too. Didnt take long to notice LOS domination. Difference is speed. The long plays against Richlands were outside runs which turned into 50 plus yard gains or TD's. I think Union will have a hard time doing that to Graham. The Gmen havent given up 100 yards rushing after two games combined. Graham can pass alot better than Union.
  15. Has anybody west of Roanoke played for a title the last 4 years except Graham? Not sure who is roots for, don’t really care. GMen fans are far from delusional. Appomattox and EC Glass are nobody’s? He must live in Highland Springs. Lol
  16. Graham wins by 20. Book it! Saw Bluefield scrimmage and they didn’t get in the red zone, much less score. If they can’t score against JF and LB , they are in trouble Friday.
  17. Was at the game. Glass was undisciplined but they are stacked with athletes and size. Watkins played well on the corner with two pick 6’s. Not sure what he runs the 40 in? Lol . Way to much stock on camp times. Football acumen is to understated. I doubt Graham faces a team at any point this year with those athletes. QB can spin it, first pick was wrong route by receiver, 2nd was tipped.
  18. Just wondering , Graham first team defense only gave up 2 TD’s all year to SWD foes. None to Tazewell or Richlands. So obviously stats / predictions are very skewed. Stats don’t always show impact on the game. Yards and receptions don’t mean much when your offense gets shut out.
  19. It don’t really matter much, but your spot on. In the second round. The highest seed should play the lowest seed. Anyone who agreed to schedule otherwise is an idiot. It’s fine for the first round but after that , it’s lunacy.
  20. This whole cross bracket playoff is an exercise in ignorance. The reason the points system is used is to evaluate and reward scheduling and record. It should be used in all rounds and every division and be used to determine home field.
  21. Very true. It's called being relevant, like people are still talking about the KC Chiefs. LOL
  22. I am assuming holding don't count. They hold on the edge nearly every play because they are not athletic enough to sustain blocks. Lomax is the real deal, but I'm sure the Central film will be reviewed by all who meet them in the playoffs.
  23. So 1-4 will flip in the first round of the playoffs with 1 vs 4 across district , 2 vs 3, etc. question, what happens in 2 round. ? Does it revert back to playoff points( VHSL rating? I would assume that would also determine home field as well. .
  24. Graham has not given up a point on D yet everyone on here is talking about tackling. I don’t get it. Focus will be there guaranteed.
  25. Has Union given up any points yet this season? Just wandering…..
