Supposedly took a Coaching job in TN somewhere. Not first-hand info.

I'm calling it now, as the last HOO-RAH for Richlands' coach, I fully expect a show. If things aren't going his way, he will make it all about him, Bob Knight style. He will want to go out remembered and talked about for years to come. Lights, Camera...Action! Get to the Armory early and get your popcorn!

The Fuller Kid (3rd and final kid) is a great young man and comes from a GREAT family. He's a junior and a flat our baller. Did a great job as a Sophomore on the Poca kid McNeely. Coach Fuller would never return to Richlands after the "concession king/activity bus bandit" had him pushed out.

Is Graham finding their identity and coming together as a team? Don't count them out in the SWD.

Headed to NC or SC to get the "Big Payday" to coach. 80-100k ?? Don't even have to teach if approved from what I've heard.

They finally moving to 2A or 3A?😆

Time will tell. Graham will gel and get much better but without any real height, it will be extremely tough to win the region. I'm sure a few other teams will get to celebrate like Abingdon did when they won the title the other night 🤣. I wasn't taking anything away from Abingdon in my previous comment, I said they were a good team. I thought officiating was questionable at times. Heck 2 almost 7 footers, get it in to them, let defense try to double or triple, pass to 31 (or another open guy), get buckets, and win games. That's a great game plan. They're going to win a lot of games.

Graham had 0 - ZERO Free Throw attempts. Almost unheard of. Abingdon ( I cant find the box score) but probably had 15 trips to the stripe. Officiating was questionable but Abingdon is a good team.

I'm not sure what you're saying, Bradshaw doesn't belong?

Where does one go to find it? Obviously it has leaked somewhere.

How are people from Richlands posting congratulations to their All Region Team members? Is All-Region out?

If only these teams would have listened to you and thought to "give the ball to ..." or, "just tackle him'" or "just throw the ball." I want you to have the opportunity run a team, call plays, make sure teenagers execute EXACTLY as told, watch hundreds of hours of game film, game plan, deal with injuries, deal with parents, deal with Covid issues, and make chatrooms proud.. So how are District and Region teams selected? Do coaches have a call and just make their case for a couple guys and trade this spot for that spot etc.? I do believe there is a senior bias because I think coaches want to get their kids recognized as they're moving on. Do they breakdown game film from region/district games? Do they go thru region/district stats (which are near impossible to find)? Is it Coaches, writers, AD's, parents, who picks the kids? I want to see behind the curtain Great Oz!

I have actually seen the line by line items as to cost and upkeep of Mitchell Stadium. I don't disagree with you, but they are not operating on a break-even number. It is definitely a profitable asset for the city even before BSC started paying. That is why they would not sell it to Mercer County Schools or an investment group in Bluefield, VA.

I don't believe it had anything to do with the Bluefield High School as the City runs the stadium. Both pay to play, along with Bluefield State and Bluefield College. The City is robbing all of them. 50K from BHS, 50 K from GHS, 110 from BC, 100 from BSC. Playoff games are extra and VHSL and WVSSAC get the majority of those gates. The High Schools can end up in the hole if they don't get large crowds for playoff games.

What's the story with RH? I've heard rumors about their enrollment count. Can anyone elaborate?

I would like to thank the City of Bluefield, WV for their assistance in helping a "Homefield advantage" mean absolutely nothing. Thank you for letting the competitors get time on the field Friday night and Saturday morning before the game. Although Graham has to pay for time on the field you let a visiting team come in and use the facilities for free. This may seem minor to some but playing at a new field in a new environment is part of a homefield advantage, and usually the visiting team does not get on the field until a few hours before the game. I thought it was disrespectful not to ask Graham HS officials for permission. Sincerely, Mr. Dookeez

I understand, again not defending anyone just reporting on what I heard secondhand. I have no doubt those boys would fire back much worse than they were getting. I doubt they would start it by randomly shouting out and pointing out people in the crowd to attack. But again, I know some of the boys and if you come at them with anything you better be ready for the comebacks.

So far this board is going to fire Union's coach, possibly replace Ridgeview's coach, and now I'm up for firing Appo's coach because he kicked to Bradshaw twice. This board makes things happen! You better coach right or we're coming for you!

My understanding was there was a female heckling the kids in warm ups. She was yelling at kids about bad passes and dropped passes so a couple kids made an "inappropriate" comments about her and a few others. Secondhand info, so I know nothing as fact just hearsay from a couple people the kids talked to.

That is true. Never said anything about the visiting band.

Only a few can win individual accolades but the WHOLE TEAM can get a ring! Where is the focus for Graham? Bigger than "I" that's for sure.
