  1. You can't blame the kid, he's proud of his accomplishment. I'm sure no one told him to keep it under wraps.
  2. Look here, how dare you roll up in here with LOGIC?!?!?! VHSL won't stand for that!
  3. Union fans signing a petition to get him out too because he didn't beat Graham? 🙄
  4. Agreed, Applebee's is not know for great service or food here locally. The fight was probably better than the Bourbon Street Steak.
  5. Heard over the week form local law enforcement there was fight between Union fans and Graham fans after the game at Applebees in Bluefield, VA. Were any of you fine people involved or present for that incident?
  6. It looked like they didn't want to get beat by the QB running so they spied him (waiting in space to see if he runs). They tried mixing it up to counter the offensive set. Sometimes spying with 1 LB and sometimes 2. Good plan but Graham QB still ran and did well. Not the first time Graham seen that and overall a good plan, "Make the QB pass not run to beat us," but execution was lacking. Graham will see the same thing this week too.
  7. Does Ridgeview do the whole "hold back" thing like a lot of other schools?
  8. "Anything can happen on any given Sunday, Especially on Monday Night" - Jon Gruden MNF ------ That says it all!
  9. Fire the coach? As a member of a competing fanbase, HE SHOULD BE GONE TOMORROW!! Seriously though, with all his success, he has not done a good enough job? You seriously cannot expect to be playing for the State Championship every year. Fans/Parents like to blame the coach when the season ends but he's not on the field executing the plays. Union kids play hard, mistakes are made every game by every team, they are kids. To think the coach is the one to blame for not being as successful as you think they should be is ridiculous. Now, there are times in games when clock management and a few other things come into play and it falls on the coach but that guy has had a lot of success. I'd prefer to not battle him every year so you all be sure and push him out because he's not winning enough games.
  10. I don't disagree with your statement about Graham fans and Richlands for a while. I think it goes back to what I said, as the program goes, winning, etc., players want to come. Graham is benefitting from their success. It is the current climate and much worse in larger cities with multiple HS. I would have a problem with it if coaches were making calls and getting people housing and jobs like the old days.
  11. When a program gets known for winning and people liking the coach, it attracts other players and parents. If no one is transferring into your program or you have people leaving your program, it speaks volumes about your program and your coach. Kids actually recruit other kids to their program. Winning, along with the possibility of playing for a state title is awfully appealing to a lot of kids. #whyyoumadbro
  12. Those transfers Graham has are going to come up huge this week! I think one plays QB, his name his Unkel Reeko.
  13. I'm no John Madden but I've played his game many times. Maybe by running those deep routes you either get a mismatch and hit a homerun or you back up 4-5 defenders 25 yards down the field and the QB, which can obviously run has a lot of room after breaking the line of scrimmage. It worked in Madden when I wanted to run my QB. So, are they designed pass plays or designed RPO's for the QB? Tough to stop both. Looking at them from a defensive coaching perspective, Bradshaw requires a minimum of 2 to cover him, then they have 2-3 more WR's that can catch and make plays, a lightning fast RB, and a QB that can run. That's a tough matchup for any team. Not saying Union doesn't have strengths of their own.
  14. Word travels fast, Union had scouts recording the Gmen at practice today! No one would have know it was Union but they kept screaming "terrible call, that's not a hold" and blowing a train horn! 😆
  15. I think they got 3 kids and they won't be eligible to play until next week as long as Graham wins. My buddy told me they were absolute beasts!
  16. VA HIgh defensively, has a very slim chance. They've had a great season and a huge turn around. It will not be what they wanted but looking at the year over year records they made a huge improvement and had a lot of success. Union will dominate to make a statement and boost their own confidence. 56-14
  17. You are the winner in this game you want to play so congrats! I take an L! I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW REDTIGER IS THE WINNER!!! HEEEEE is the champion my friends..duh,duh,duh For reference sake, I need to be willing to defend my opinion and come back at others that disagree with me to participate in this forum? I cannot merely state an opinion? I’ll shut up now and bow out, but my opinion is still mine. Glad you hate it and me 😎. #whysomadbro #angrytiger #tigerdontplaydatsh*t #heownsme I make myself laugh and its okay.
  18. Aren’t you special. You completely misunderstood the statement and that’s okay. See how I responded without name calling or arguing? That’s called being grown. #themoreyouknow
  19. He was not in 1v1 most of the game either. I do think the kid is talented but that was not a fair assessment when talking about the coverage. The Tazewell secondary played well against him that game.
  20. On that play, Graham playing man and the DB looked like he misjudged the ball by mere inches. Things like that will happen when you play man but when you get beat you make adjustment and VH did not adjust much after getting beat by Bradshaw a couple times.
  21. I watched it back on NFHS and to be honest I thought it was Busch League to do mass subs then send starters back out against JV AND to have the back (which is very talented) slowdown and taunt on the 2 yard line going in for the score. I am pretty certain the coach only wanted to pad stats for the kid. Once you go mass subs with a running clock, bringing starters back in was junior league. It’s not an argument and I won’t respond to criticism about my opinion.
  22. Close first half then Bluefield closes it out by 2 TD’s.
  23. As far as disgruntled parents go, winning cures a lot of things. That's not a shot at Tazewell either. Winning makes a lot of "problems" go away. Losing incites inner turmoil.
