They’d rather be a Tyreek Hill than a Patrick Ricard.

You’re absolutely right about that but man there’s nothing I love more than watching a big bumbling stumbling fullback break one loose for a big gain. Mike f’n Alstott baby. Need I say more

What are you smoking man.....9 and 1.....what ifs?????doesn't mean nothing. Lee gets curbstomped this week its over before halftime.....Lee has no defense ain'tall. Lee got nobody that matches graham's rb speed. Please copy this and use it as bulletin board material for those generals thou..🫢🫢

I know it sounds crazy man but it’s not unrealistic. If you’ve actually watched any of the games I mentioned you’d know. Ridgeview is a completely different team than when they played and I think the Generals would put 40 on them now. Never did i say Lee would beat Graham but I don’t think they’re gonna lay down and get rolled.

  3. I think Lee will put up a fight against the G-Men. Their record doesn’t really reflect their ability. If a couple plays had went the other way against Rye Cove, Battle, GC, and Abingdon (all one score games) then they’re 8-2. Had Lee played the current version of Ridgeview instead of the week 5 version then they could possibly even be sitting at 9-1. Lots of ifs and buts I know but the Generals are missing a couple key players that would’ve made a big impact in those games they’ve lost.

Union has gotten a few players from Lee but other than Polier none of them have been difference makers unless someone argues for Satterfield with the 1 run to beat Graham and we lose 2-3 kids to transfer every year also

I’d argue Keith Chandler is a difference maker who came from Lee. #5 Lowery is pretty solid for the Bears too. Another Lee guy.

I know Gate city won, maybe by 6 or so.

    scoring was even all around

    Central beat Lee

ethan collins broke central single game scoring record with 44points. He also had 16rebounds-7assists

    Abingdon beat Union.
    ramsey with 25pts

    Wharton with 17 for bears

44 is the record for central? I could’ve sworn Isaiah McAmis scored 45 against Lee a few years back. Maybe he just wore that jersey number or something I don’t remember.

I’m sure E&H is a great school and it appears their football program is taking off a bit since the move to d-2. I’m not sure I could have turned down the offers to West Point. Graduation from there with successful service is pretty much a guaranteed 6 figure or more income for life.

I think he’s good enough to play at west point but he’s probably guaranteed to see the field 90% of the time at emory. As far as  education goes both are pretty damn good compared to other schools. Being in the service with that degree looks a lot better on a job resume when it’s all said and done however.

You say that as if you think there aren't already coaches on this board!?!?!

Believe me, a lot of them are here in one form or another!

Oh I know they’re on here, they just tend not to speak up as much as some folks who think they know the ins and outs of every aspect of the game. I get a good chuckle out of some of the highly opinionated people on here that “know what’s best” for their team. The real coaches aren’t saying much because they don’t have to.

Anyone heard of any area coaching changes coming down the line?  Does anyone foresee any changes coming?

I hear all the football experts on this board will finally be getting their chance to take the helm of their respective teams. Every team in SWVA will go undefeated when these guys take over. 🤣

With the number of kids at lhs vs tw and the amount of travel ball that I’ve heard that the lee kids have been playing over the years, how are they losing to a smaller school like tw? I know last season wasn’t the most successful for them either.
Has tw got that much talent? Is the talent down that bad for lee? (I don’t think  so because I know they have great talent in kids like hammonds and Leonard). Is it coaching or are numbers down that bad? Or am I missing something else? What is happening?

Hackney is not a good coach and Lee has practically zero size in the post. It’s a team full of guards. Not sure Hackney absorbed anything from his time under Vermillion at Gate City as an assistant either.

Fire them all and disband your football program for 12 months. Signed the remaining schools in the Mountain 7. Wise Central, Lee High, John S. Battle, Abingdon, Ridgeview, Gate City!

I second this notion. Let Turner have that much deserved long vacation. Haha

  11. I think the run game will be key. I know G Huff is gonna show up big in a playoff game plus the offensive and defensive line have played outstanding the last few weeks. There were a couple plays against abingdon where Pendergraft had like 5+ seconds in the pocket untouched. We have had trouble getting to the LB/DB level with blocks but I don’t see that being an issue this game.

I agree with you on Ridgeview having better athletes than VHS Union maybe but we don’t like using them too often

If they had a true QB so they could put Anderson out in the slot or something like that they’d be a lot better off. For all the talent that’s come through Union in the last few years i’m surprised they haven’t had any stud QBs (Mitchell’s senior year doesn’t count lol)

  13. After watching VHS and Richlands I’m more confident in the Generals. Lee seems to be much better up front on both sides of the ball. The defense has gotten much better since the first few weeks and I think they’ll be able to make enough plays to pull out the W. Both teams played a weak schedule, but I think Lee certainly played the tougher district games, and they both barely beat Central so it should be pretty close. 45-41 Generals

I think Virginia wins comfortably.  Lee has yet to see the level of athleticism at the skill positions that Virginia High brings to the field this season, and though the line play is a question mark, they’re not hopeless on that front.  Carroll is a whale of a coach, and Lee has some pieces…so it’s a testament to that program to see where Lee is now compared to the last decade.

Ridgeview and Union have as good if not better athletes than VA High

What led you to this prediction? Just curious

Seeing if I can rile up the Tazewell fans lol

Nah i just think the difference is up front. Ridgeview’s o/d-line (most M7 teams for that matter) are big, tough and mean, and they’ve done well against the best lines in the region outside of Graham all year so I don’t think the Bulldogs will give them anything they can’t handle.
