Pioneer i know we're not a good team this year and it's has been mentioned numerous times that our best two players are sideline, one is out for the season and the other one may or may not come back, one thing does have me curious about Va High this season do they actually have a decent defense that can carry their weight for a little while or is it the quality of opponents thus far that's making them look decent. @V-Cats

It's looking like Tazewell might be the 2nd best team in the SWD, this is good for them, good win for the bulldogs

I didn't mean to quote it like this but proud of GC they left everything on the field, they never quit and they didn't back down. GC got some good athletes, if they can stay healthy GC going to be hard to deal with the rest of the season For DB somebody needs to go into the hallways and get their athletes enthused like in the past. DB has the athletes but it seems like they don't want to come out anymore for football, maybe they don't want to play for Christian and unlike the GC and Union of the world were their athletes are doing multiple sports DB athletes are sticking to one sport. DB has over 400 band members, their band is bigger than the TN Vols, with around 2500 kids and a band almost more than the enrollment at Union yet Union has more football players than DB, something ain't adding up, something wrong with that picture

I love TN vs VA matchup, I'm always going to pull for Va but I don't think there's enough games between the two states Right now in the early season TN is ahead 4-2 TN wins are Providence Academy over Twin Springs, Cumberland Gap over Thomas Walker, I already pencil in TN HiGH over Va High and Baylor over Loudoun Sports Academy. Baylor is currently the best team in TN, ranked 11th in the nation, their RB DGG makes 2mil while in high school, they're so loaded that Peyton Manning son is on the team but he sits the bench VA wins J.I Burton over Unaka and I already pencil in Union over Boone Two more to go tonight GC vs DB and Twin Springs vs Unaka

I've been waiting on that cycle my whole life. That cycle is playing Hide and Seek with us. I seen on Monday the middle school for John Battle beat us 14-6 so it's safe to say it really isn't looking good for us

Laws tore his acl at the beginning of the season during practice so he's out for the season. The Bristol paper said not that Graham will be back but there's a chance he could come back, he hurt his knee during basketball season. I know it's tough for Graham being it's his senior year but for his sake I hope he doesn't rush it just to be out there, the team isn't very good, the team isn't heading anywhere, a bad decision could cause further damage to him that he will have to deal with many years of his life. If I was him I would sit this out to try to get as fully healthy as I can

I'll say you're probably spot on with the score so I'll go with the same score Va High 14-0 but a turnover here or there Battle could easily win this game

DB comes rolling into hostile territory after two crushing 1pt defeats in the last minute to Knox Central and Asheville NC. I remember just a few short years back DB had over 100 players that 5 to 6 kids had duplicate numbers and now they're around 50 or less players. I seen DB lose plenty of times but I never seen them get manhandled like GC did them last year. GC punish DB on the LOS. I do think DB comes out flat at first after what happened in their 1st two games but I think they're a little too much for GC and I'll go DB 38-17, I'll love to be wrong here, I'm pulling for GC, man that would be good for SWVA if GC wins this game

Boone had a very good team in 2022 went undefeated until the state quarterfinals where they were steamrolled by a very strong Knox West team that also beat Alcoa and Maryville in the regular season that year. Powell and Page also would have beat Boone that season if West wasn't in the way Boone poster on the TN site said Boone had around 32 players, like yall are saying it might not be like last year but Union will have no trouble putting away Boone early. Boone lost to Volunteer and Eastside beat Volunteer earlier in the jamboree thing they did when they played Volunteer and then Lebanon, Boone did beat South Greene but the Greene County schools South, West, North Greene and Chuckey-Doak when they do come across talented players they transfer into Greeneville to try to help themselves out for college
