  1. They definitely could have though. This also means that only Dissibio will be eligible for all state
  2. Should have clarified. Dissibio would of course be a candidate next year for it. But I’m sure most would agree he’s basically twice as good as he was last year so it’s highly unlikely he will get that much better again but if he did I’d say it would basically be his to lose
  3. Only exception is if you’re In a multi-class district
  4. Geez that’s a hose
  5. That’s the biggest problem for our area with trying to play collegiate football and basketball. It hardly ever matters how good you actually are at the sport, just how big you are
  6. SWD Honors for Lebanon SWD POY: Michael Reece (Sr.) 1st Team: Ethan Horne (Fr.) 2nd Team: Dawson Rasnake (Fr.) Layne Jessee (Soph.) Honorable Mention: Jake Hilton (Sr.) Only problem I have with it is I feel like Hilton should have been at least 2nd team, maybe even first. Another example on how everything’s voted on way too early, pouring in 26 points against the region champs in your last game on the hardwood should be enough to get you on the all region team
  7. All just depends on Dissibio. Because I’m not going to lie, if he gets as good as he did from sophomore to junior year from now to his senior year, he’s easily the state POY.
  8. You’ve got valid arguments but I do believe Reece in this scenario is the one outlier. A QB is only as good as his targets and line. QB is the most skilled position on the field so it’s a little harder to determine what level they are as a prospect, the only thing they can is arm strength. Versus Jessee’s scenario they only care about how fast/strong/big he is. Whether he gets 20 tackles or 200 next year he will still be recruited just because of his physical traits, not because of his skill even though the two are kind of intertwined. And for Trivette she gets all the attention she does from her AAU performances not from what she does in HS, same thing with McAmis. Also similar situation on how SWVA churns out so many college baseball players, they’re not getting recruited because of how well they perform at the HS level, they are because they’re playing against super high level competition in the summer
  9. As expected
  10. Different set of Hookers I think, maybe cousins of anything. Travis was from the Bristol area and graduated from Battle. I can attest that he was a pretty funny guy to be around, also had some pretty mean XC teams there for 3-4 years or so
  11. Baseball weather has got to be the worst thing. Pitchers can’t feel their fingers. Hit a ball too close to the handle? Good luck trying to feel your entire hand the rest of the night. It’s not like football, you’re not moving max effort every minute or so. Sometimes fielders will only get to move in between innings as there’s no task for them to do if the pitcher K’s the side.
  12. Per Tim Hayes, Some devastating news as Lebanon High School coach Travis Hooker passed away on Sunday. His cross country squads won state titles in 2022, 2023. He coached Lebanon's girls hoops teams the past two seasons after being longtime assistant. Very unexpected news in the community
  13. Yes we are. Fantastic analogy with Dean as an example
  14. Exactly the premise of my point though. Fix didn’t do well in the OT Lebanon game, Richlands loss, Central loss, and then when he got going in the GC game that’s when they started to pull way out in front. There’s also no question that fix was the third man for Graham, but Bostic would have been too had they been switched and I would be shocked if their averages weren’t similar if things were vice versa
  15. Always so odd to me that VHSL decides to do the opposite of what would make the most sense.
  16. Yep she’ll be a beast. In the 5 innings she threw, granted it was against Northwood, she gave up one hit zero walk and 10 Ks. Not too bad for her first appearance at the varsity level regardless of the competition
  17. I think majority of the slander on the softball side of things comes from the fact that the M7 is leaps and bounds ahead of the SWD in every single girls sport. Softball they’re probably better from top to bottom but I think Leb/Richlands always have and continue to hang with whoever their top teams are
  18. Like I know we all don’t get along sometimes and disagree. I’m all for the banter on here, in good sport. But to call someone a creep over a factual statement that they apparently don’t agree with is totally asinine to me
  19. Fix was their third option yes but he was also their difference maker. He’s just so unguardable and the team seems to play at their best when he’s on. A mean two handed dunk and a fake behind the back pass were some of the highlights for him in the state championship game As for the M7 taking 3/4 yes that is true but we’d all be lying if we said Lebanon didn’t draw the shortest stick possible in facing central first. I’ll give you the fact as a whole the M7 is better in just about every sport but at the very top is where things seem to be pretty even
  20. Appreciate it man. Dudes dm’ing threatening messages over a basic fact
  21. Caywood Reece Hayes Fix Martin Dissibio and I think Horne is too
  22. Never said that. I was rooting for them when they played Auburn in the baseball final and after they beat PH I was hoping they’d win
  23. Puberty isn’t some blasphemous topic everyone experiences it, Height is a big part of anatomy. It’s just basic observations but whatever helps you sleep at night man
  24. Geez man you really need to take a breath. I just used that as an example to illustrate my point against @Fairlawncat stating that he’s not done growing. But according to your logic how dare he assume where he’s at in his growth cycle. Go and call him a perv too then, not cool to just sling that word around man
  25. Never asked about it man
