As of right now I’m pretty sure Battle is still ahead of Union. Battle hasn’t played abingdon the second time yet either so they should end up being tied assuming Battle loses to Abingdon and beats Lee and Union wins the rest of their games

That’s shouldn’t be correct. At the very least it is supposed to be resumed after the last full inning. But it should be when the game was postponed

Abingdon is probably the most loaded team to ever come through. Lebanon went 5-1 last week with a loss to Daniel Boone and beat a decent 5a Kentucky school with 4 d1 commits, this is probably the deepest pitching staff Lebanon has had in years, if they can find the bats they will have similar success to what they had last year. Battle looks to be severely pissed off since the union loss with solid performances in Kentucky and run ruling GC last night. Skeen has been struggling thus far but if Neff starts to hit his stride like he did last year Union can very well make the state tournament this year. V High has been decent but have had some ugly wins against Richlands and Tazewell As of this moment though I expect at least 3 out of 4 region semis teams to be from the M7

If they are in region c I don’t count them as far swva. Is auburn legit? Absolutely. You could only possibly put them at #5 but I still think that’s a stretch. They beat a young eastside team like 7-2 I think was the score and beat a pretty solid PH team 4-1 in the early season and I’m pretty sure I seen they played FC and beat them 10-1 and FC played Richlands and did beat them pretty handily but that’s the worst Richlands team post covid. There’s numerous examples of how cream of the crop 1a teams struggle against middle of the pack 2a.

Just read the BHC article about the Leb/V High game that said that the 2024 BHC POTY and 2x State Champ Lebanon graduate had an elbow injury during his college season and did some asking and it turns out he has to have Tommy John surgery on Tuesday. What makes it worse is that I seen a FB post that he had to get a pacemaker put in last week. Definitely a rough couple of weeks for the former Lebanon star. Prayers for him and his family.

Big day in both SWD and M7 play as Abingdon-Battle and Leb-V High face off today 1. Abingdon- The Falcons have looked solid so far at the start of the season. Poised to make a run for the title behind Humphreys and co. 2. Lebanon- They are 2-2 with losses to Abingdon and TN High (with TN high’s best arm). Beat a much improved Sullivan East team and TN high without their best arm available. They seem to not be as bad off as I expected in trying to replace the production that Parker and Barton had last year. Phillips is off to quite the hot start on the mound and at the plate. Look for him to contend for district poty with teammate breeding and foy from V High 3. Battle- Putting them at 3 as of now due to them letting V High take one away from them. Other than that they have handled business well especially in run ruling Union and running Skeen off the mound early. Gobble is early front runner for region POTY 4. Virginia High-Beat Battle and whooped PH who appears to be the front runner for 1D. Can definitely tell that Foy is their best chance in winning some bigger games though. 5. Union- Definitely need to find the bats and get them rolling and clean up the errors. They are young and they are showing it as of now but I look for them to get it straightened out. 6. Central- This team is quite the dark horse so far. Despite them beating battle and falling to the hands of Lebanon in region championship everyone seems to never mention them. Close loss to abingdon and from the scores I have seen of theirs. They seem to light up the scoreboard. Foster has been impressive so far 7. Gate City- They have had some close losses but they have talent to potentially make some noise in region play. 8. Patrick Henry- they have a decent arm in Cannon and I expect them to take the region from chilhowie 9. Chilhowie- from the scores I have seen I’ve not been too impressed 10. Tazewell- just putting them here even though RR Honaker or eastside could go here but with eastside losing to RR and Honaker being inconsistent I don’t think I could. Even middle of the pack 2d teams are better than 1d

Just heard from a pretty reliable source that UNC told her if TN High started to pitch her every game that she should tell them not to and if they don’t agree she needed to quit.

No they’re not bad by any means. But they’ve also played weaker teams like Marion and Tazewell so that allows them to get away with pretty easy wins by saving Graziano for their district games. Graziano is already either 3-0 and might be 4-0 on the mound.

I wouldn’t exactly say a big win. Without Graziano on the mound they struggle. The kessee kid isn’t bad for a freshman but not enough to keep them on par with their past teams. There’s a reason that the worst Lebanon team in three years finally beat them yesterday. Also doesn’t help playing 4 games in a week.
