At the end of halftime auburn had a 7 point lead and stretched it to 12 points for the final. I do kinda agree that the calls one of the officials made was a bit of a difference maker. Calling 4 charges on Keene that were very questionable made him sit. That’s their leading scorer and biggest player and I do feel like he would have altered some of the shots auburn got

No dog in the race but at the end of the Graham and v high game how was that not a foul? Blake Graham was tripped by a Virginia High player laying on the ground? Don’t know how the rule works when there is contact when someone is already on the ground

Honaker is easily the biggest and most physical team in the state as well. Honaker doesn’t shoot as good as they did against GW. Those boys have played in Lebanons gym their whole life so they are used to it. I knew when everyone was saying that gw should easily beat hon that they weren’t thinking about where they are playing. I’ve heard that auburn is even more athletic than gw so I do think that auburn is probably favored by 7-9 points. Still wouldn’t be totally shocked if Auburn blew honaker out of the water

I have not visited any of the gyms that have been mentioned so how do all of these gyms compare to chilhowie? And I know Lebanons bleachers aren’t the most comfortable in the world and everyone will be complaining about it on Friday. Good news for you is that they are getting new bleachers as soon as they can. Originally they were going to be put in as soon as basketball was over so that they would be in by the time graduation rolled around (also pretty sure Leb is one of the few gyms that can actually hold graduation in the gym). Then they got the news that they would have to host for a neutral site so now it’s looking like their senior class will be graduating on the football field that stays in horrible condition. During halftime I would go out in the lobby and look at all of Lebanons team pictures hanging up on the walls, that’s probably my favorite part of the Mecca is that it’s a museum as well

Lebanon won 12-2 in 8 innings I think. Heard that Lebanons pitching rotation as a whole was suburb. They threw 7-9 guys and they only combined to give up 3 or 4 hits. Only problem was the walks they gave up but that will get better as the season goes on. Thought East was going to be a decent team but turns out they only had 2 players return from last years team.

This game should favor auburn. GW should have also beat honaker. The only difference is that honaker shoots ridiculously from three In their two games that they’ve played at Lebanon this year it feels like theyve made the same amount of threes as they did all year at their home gym. Leb is a unique gym with such a large backdrop behind the goals. I feel like it was messing with every single GW player other than the kirtner kid

Heard someone was raising hell that one of the martinsville players made a shot and was celebrating by shooting a finger gun at the v high player. So they are definitely undisciplined. Not a fan of the way v high acts by no means but that is completely uncalled for. All of this stems from the coaches imo

Yea I agree. Clock definitely didn’t start on time. I watched it on nfhs and went back and started a clock on my phone with two seconds and it took him about 2.5-3 seconds to get the shot off. Granted that’s probably not the most efficient way of doing it but still

It’s almost like that’s apart of their culture. The kids are literally the same way. #2 can constantly be heard and seen saying the f word to the other team and fans. (Didn’t realize everyone was talking about the girls I meant boys).

Welp if anyone tries to say that free throws don’t win big games they’re lying. Lebanon shot 4-6 from the line while Union shot 6-6 Lebanon lost by one. Marion shot 5-6 from the line and Gate City shot 17-22 from the line. Marion lost by 5.

If there was such an award it would be because he’s only good at shooting meanwhile Reece is virtually 1st or 2nd in evert stat category in the swd
