What he said ^^^ I’d be really careful what you wish for, take a hard look at the sports programs as a whole in Richlands. Especially the boys. There have been numerous coaching changes and to date, none of them have been for the better-from football, basketball, baseball, soccer, none of the programs have improved.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why Jeff Tarter is subjecting himself to that mess. Can’t help but feel bad for the kids.

I quit counting the 15 year old 8th grade college commits and 16 year old driving freshman. It’s crazy.

Tazewell supports their programs and kids, regardless of a losing season, this is something I’ve noticed through the years. Richlands could take a page out of their book, we can be some fair weather fans and the kids suffer. They certainly do not deserve that lack of community support.

Aaron Lowe recruited his kids buddies. His middle school kids buddies. By the time they reach the high school level, he should have enough people brainwashed and will have control of football and girls basketball. So, current head coaches, pay attention and keep your resume handy…..or….or….he will piss enough people off and it will be a rerun of his Richlands shitshow. My popcorn is ready. 🍿

I know the Reynolds girl had no choice but to transfer somewhere, her step daddy made her bed. Not seeing the logic for the Trivette girl. If your going to transfer your kid, especially one of her caliber, why not go to a school with a solid winning program?

When an adult is praying on a young girl his privacy doesn't matter, but his poor wife and kids didn’t sign up for it. There’s SO MUCH WRONG with the entire situation, his coworkers should be disgusted, the administration should appalled, central office should take swift action and make sure he doesn’t get the chance to repeat this behavior. But I guess it’s cool now? In the year 2023, it’s no longer illegal for a teacher to start an inappropriate relationship and sleep with a student. Maybe it’s the teacher shortage? Who knew 🤷🏻‍♂️ My guess is the girl graduated, so she’s no longer attending school, now it can be swept under the rug and everyone pretend there’s not a pedophile on staff.

As much as I would love to out him online, I’m not into breaking up families and humiliating young teenage girls. That being said, having a daughter myself, it’s a shame he’s still teaching, much less coaching. Everyone knows. Faculty, administration, central office, yet he’s reporting to work next week. It’s a real shame.

Nope, didn’t say it was his fault, just said he saw it coming. The football program has had a steady decline since he left. Jeff Tarter is doing the best with what he has, not throwing off on the kids that are currently working hard, but the talent level is just not there. Same can be said for the other sports programs in Richlands. Maybe there is a problem with youth sports.

Todd Tiller is more than likely aware that a guy that was fired from two coaching positions in a neighboring county, applied for his job, didn’t get it, then spent an entire school year keeping shit stirred until it blew up, then preceded to transfer his kids, if and only if, he is offered a coaching position, is the very definition of self serving and does not have any program or kids best interest in mind. No one could want a repeat of the train wreck caused by Aaron Lowe. Hopefully Tiller is smart enough to keep Aaron in his place and keep his undermining to a minimum.

It my understanding the transfers to Honaker are younger kids that are classmates of the Lowe kids, which are not in high school yet, a few boys and girls. Guess Aaron is taking over girls basketball and football for the Tigers, good luck with that!

Serious question, Honaker football? I know they have always won their district in most sports, but didn’t they change to a different district this year? Will they still come out on top or will it be more competitive? No offense to the black diamond district, they have great schools and athletes. Just wondering if Aaron Lowe and the other Richlands defectors bettered themselves.

The Trivette girl is a welcome addition to any team, not really sure what the current talent is level is in Abingdon, but the Reynolds girl is no Ansley Trivette. She also brings a bit of baggage in the form of a crazy step dad that cannot sit in the bleachers and watch a game, meaning if she doesn’t start and play a lot, it will be the same shit show, different gym.

Rumor is she and the Reynolds girl are transferring to Abingdon. Rumor is the Lowe family transferred to Honaker. Not sure if Lowe and angry stepdad landed a coaching position at Honaker or Abingdon, maybe that rumor will come along later.

Where is she going

Great hire! Hopefully the Aaron Lowe brigade can accept this change and move forward, Richlands has a great girls basketball program and can have success, if that little group will stay out of the coaches lane.

Tazewell and Lebanon both have a great start. They both have strong, solid programs, with new coaches invested and should finish strong. Graham looks to have gained some great support and a coach that will stick around to help them grow. Richlands is truly sad. Those kids have next to nothing and a program cannot succeed without a home. Imagine losing the ability to host ballgames. Hope the coach will stick around and find some way to keep them a float. It’s a sad time to be a baseball player in Blue Tornado country.
