This is typical liberal banter, you act like you are "the just side" of arguments like this, but when things don't go your way the truth comes out as to what really dwells in your heart. Typical. I don't even have much else to say about it so have at it and I couldn't care any less if you like it or not or agree with it or not...I'm sick of the politically correct nonsense in this country. It's old and it's weak.

This all started a few years back when someone told you that you should be offended by the confederate flag, before that no one cared...we all watched the Dukes of Hazzard, we looked at the old monuments in the Southern States, Hurley had it as a mascot, and no one really cared...at all...until you were convinced by the liberal politically correct factions that were left over from the Clinton years that it was a racist symbol...no one cared. If you see it as a racist symbol, then that's fine...but just because you or anyone else is offended by it doesn't mean you have the right to tell an entire town that it's wrong when they've had the thing in place long before the media manipulated people in to thinking it was something offensive. I hope they keep giving people the bird.

How did the flag come in to this? I kinda like how everyone comes after Hurley about the flag...it might be one of, if not the last places in the country it's still flying high...it's gone from South Carolina, which I never thought they would cave and remove it...but, they did...then there is little old Hurley sitting over there with people trying to force them to make it go away, and they just give 'em the middle finger and move on lol...you have to love that. God bless them, hope they don't ever change. As far as the game goes, it happens,that's life...sometimes someone else is going to better on any given day. Hurley still had a great season, nothing to be down about at all..I know they wanted to win State and thought they had a legit shot at it...but in the end 11-1 is still a great season. Congrats and see you guys next year at Grundy.

What do you guys think? Hurley probably gets its first legit test of the year...pulling for Hurley to go all the way, just hope they aren't getting a little too cocky at the Cliff. I've not seen PM but heard people who played them say they are pretty good. Hurley has 3 or 4 real playmakers, but I have seen Brady Justice pick that team up and put them on his back for the win when they needed it...I think he's the difference in this type of game. barn burner or another Rebel blowout? I'll take Hurley in a close one by 6.

GMen should win easy...MV has some good speed and size, but i wasn't that impressed with them....Grundy played pretty horrible again, they haven't been right in the head since the Hurley game I don't think...just my opinion. the #4 and #24 kids from MV that run the ball are both fast if they get the corner, and will drag a pile a few yards up the middle...these are not the kind of RBs you can just try to cut or arm tackle...but, otherwise...not really much else there. They went to an unbalanced set or something at the end that reminded me of Giles and the single wing, not sure if it actually was or not but it looked similar at the least. I haven't seen Graham this year but sounds like they have enough speed and talent to take care of business. Was talking to some people at MV and they said the kids were ready to move on to basketball season? Said that's all they cared about now...lol.

well they are the 10 seed and on the road playing a higher seed...so...what do you expect? Still a decent year and a something to build on.

Brady Justice reminds me a lot of Devon Johnson when he was at Richlands...would be fun to see him playing there with that group.

Seen them both in the last two weeks up close, would like to see them play @Hurley...they might just bring you down a notch or two off the lofty football throne of SWVA. I think it would be a good game to watch as a football fan. This is probably the only year it would be interesting. Richlands has too much depth for most teams around here, Hurley has the big 4 and drops off fast beyond the starters so it is well within reason to think Richlands would win, but I'd still like to see the game...would be fun but only if it was played @Hurley. I'd bet the Richlands kids would get a kick out of playing over there too at the Cliff.

Couple of things...after the Hurley game, I was worried Grundy might have a hangover...they didn't, the kids were all in a pretty good mood and seemed to have moved on, even at the end down 49-13 or whatever and cleaning up what was left of the game with a rolling clock they were all still pretty happy over there? Didn't seem to bother them. Myself, I hate to lose and it frustrates the HELL out of me to deal with games like the last two weeks, but I was glad for the kids it didn't really seem to get them down and the starters were out having fun watching the younger kids/backups play...which, that's how it should be...so congrats to them on that, mentally, that's a big thing as I'm 45 years old now and still haven't figured that one out myself yet. As for Richlands...great team, would love to see them play Hurley @ Hurley this year...would be great if after everything was said and done with the season there was a way to make that happen on a Saturday night...would be fun to see how that turned out....one can dream huh? Another thing about Richlands, and they've been doing it for years...I have no idea why no one takes advantage of what they give you....but, if you go to an unbalanced right formation, QB under center and your RB up close, not back 7 yards off the line...then run everyone (flow) right and give it to the RB going back to the weak left side...there is no one there...you are one good block away from being in the secondary 1 on 1. Richlands always over shifts the LB's to the strong side...I just don't get why no one sees this and attacks it...it's not something you can line up and just do every play, I'm sure they would adjust quick to it...but it's always there and on a 2nd and 6 or so what do you have to lose? One of the few weak spots I've found and it's been there for years. Richlands has a good team, they played clean...Mance is a class act...they have the program in place that others should be looking at and trying to incorporate things that work in to their own programs. Grundy might be the only team around that played two state champ quality teams back to back in the regular season...hope we can get back in the win column next week.

Grundy is causing fumbles and INTs this year every week....what you're saying here is like saying "if we had scored more we'd have won" lol.

Brady Justice is an outstanding athlete...last year Lester got injured and Brady put that team on his back and carried them to victory...Grundy has to stop him or it's going to be a long night. The good news is Grundy's defense is much better this time around. Going to be a classic at the Cliff...I think it will be a good close game...and the hits will be coming all night long non stop. Excited to see how this one plays out.

Game of the week...when these two lock horns you can throw the records and everything else out the window and expect a solid night of big hits and drama...The Cliff is going to be as wild as its ever been....for sure. They are opening the gates at 4pm and it's going to be a packed house.
