Will be interesting to see how Richlands pass attack does against Bluefield and there secondary.

How is Richlands this year? Seems like it was a nice win last week against a solid opponent. I know Bluefield has a very good team but it is never easy to come out of Richlands with a win...

Thoughts on this game? I think it could be an interesting game.

The 2nd string QB was #12 for Bluefield and his name is RJ Bourne. The kid has a VERY nice arm and really looked pretty sharp out there today. I would love to see the kid get a chance to sling it around a little this season. DJ also had a couple of really nice throws today as well and seemed to be running well as usual. Can't wait till Aug 24 to get this season started!

Did anyone see the 8th grade Tazewell girls play Richlands? I heard it was a pretty interesting game with tempers fllaring? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Well we got to find out last night about the Dublin 8th grade girls basketball team. VERY big, fairly fast and have several girls who play together on aau teams during the summer. They press most of the game- not very effective but descent at best. They are a very good cherry picking team with girls getting the rebound and throwing it long to whoever is releasing!

Murray you are right the Tazewell girls did play really well against Graham. The Tazewell girls are a very big, fast, aggresive team with girls who have played aau ball together for years and it def shows. You are right, it will be tough for anyone to match up with them. Can they shoot from the outside? I guess teams will eventually start packing it in on them and forcing them to beat them from the outside. They are also a tremendous rebounding team. Not alot of weak spots at all on their team! Heck, they could probably beat most of the JV teams around the area and some of the varsity teams!

The Graham girls 8th grade is doing pretty good so far this season. They started out beating Twin Valley, and Honaker. They have lost their last two games to Tazewell and Dublin, VA. They play Richlands tomorrow night at GMS...

There will be a few coming up in the next 5 or 6 years. I know that Graham, Princeton, and Bluefield "not as much" will have some major talent rolling through. The East River Raptors u10 soccer team consists of boys from those 3 areas and have won 6 tourneys in a row- 24 games in a row- not counting friendlies and other scrimmages! These tourneys have been held in Roanoke, VA, Johnson City, TN and a couple others from last season!

Does anyone know how the 8th grade girls teams are this season for Dublin Middle, Pulaski, or Radford? There is a tourney in Dublin starting today just for the 8th grade girls and it consists of those teams plus Graham, Ft. Chiswell and a three others that i cannot think of right now?!

Yeah, i noticed that they were the same officials from the Blfd-Pike View game at Bluefield state last weekend. What a joke!

Barbell was a great QB and an even better DB. I think he still holds the record for most interceptions in one playoff game. He was a very heady player, not to good at college football 07 though. Hopefully he has improved on 08'... LOL

Does anyone know if the game for tonight is cancelled? I am assuming that it will be, but I just want to know for sure. Any help out there is appreciated.
