I agree. Everyone always counts the Braves out of it in the off-season, but I truley think they are one of the most under-rated teams in the league. If they could only win a freaking world series they would get a little more respect. But you would think, 14 straight NL east titles would get them a little. The Mets may be loading up this off-season, but its going to be interesting to see what comes of this season. I think the Braves are on thier way to #15.

Red sox traded thier shortstop Edgar Renteria to the Braves for a minor leauge prospect and some cash considerations. Renteria had an off season with the Red Sox (with a career high 30 errors), but we're hoping he will step things up for the Braves and fill in for Rafael Furcal who signed with the Dodgers this off-season. The minor league prospect the Braves gave up was third baseman Andy Marte, who is considered one of the best prospects in the league. This trade was made easier for the Braves because Chipper Jones agreed to a three year deal, thus insuring he will be there at third base for three more(hopefully, injury free) years. But with the way the Mets are rebuilding this season, the Braves are going to need those rookies from last year to step up again this year, if they want 15 NL east divisional titles in a row. With Bobby Cox at the helm, and the incredible young guys they have, I'm sure they can do it. Thats why I said it. But I do agree with EH31 that its rediculous how some of the SWD fans act twards The Highlands District, when you down the district that bad, you might as well being saying it to these kids faces. They work just as hard as any of the theams in the SWD, and they don't deserve the criticism they get from any of us.

Congrat Blues on a perfect season so far, but lets not forget that the seasons not over. I havnt heard much about Turner-Ashby, but I'm sure they are a top of the line team and shouldnt be over looked (and im sure they arent being over looked) I'm know we have the talent to beat them, let just get it done next week and prove all of those that have doubted us wrong.

Speaking of call reviews...that two-point convertion was good, I can't believe it wasn't over turned. He clearly had had the ball under control as he fell out of bounds. Not that it really mattered cause they missed the next two-point convertion, but if they would have made the second, that could have changed the game completly.

I heard that the boys will be coming to UVa-Wise this week to practice on the turf...Is this correct? If so what days are they coming? I might make the walk over the hill to go sit in.

Liberty was gettig away with all of those little shoves and hits after the whistle, but as soon as one of our guys even thought about it, they got flaged. If it is anything like the first one then it should be a very good movie. I garuntee I'll be seeing it the day it comes out, since my girlfriend is in love with Johnny Depp (I'm assuming he is going to be in it?) but then again, what woman isnt?
