1. But I don't think that is where we need to improve the most. They allowed one towchdown pass, and by my understanding it was a jump ball that anyone could have came down with (I didn't see it). I think the area we need to imporve the most is our redzone offense, and holding on to the ball.
2. This was said by steelerfan on 11/29/04: "I would like to know what REALLY happened after the game. if there was aproblem why is only one man being made an example of. if he did something so bad then why wernt there charges filed on him. sounds to me a case of some obnoxious bluefield fans getting something started the having there mayberry police force acting like they're badder than they are." This on 10/29/04: "all of you are just like a bunch of kids. nothing in the past matters. not the trips to wheeling and not the championships. only thing that matters is the game tonight so everyone just shut up and play the game. its not fair for the kids on either team to have to be compared to what their dads did or their great granddads or even their older brothers. the kids playing tonight had nothing to do with the last 10 years or 30 years. anyone can be beaten on any given night. and if you dont belieive that then why dont you have 10 championships in the last 10 years? let the kids decide it instead of abunch of has beens!!!!" And he says all we do is bash one another, sounds like he was the one starting stuff here.
3. Not sure where all of this came from. So what if a bunch of grown men like to talk about high school football. We never say it isn't about the kids, thats what this post is about, giving credit to a outstanding play by a high school football player. There may be a little trash talking that goes on here, but it is usually all in good fun, and it never gets out of hand. I think you need to get some facts together before you get on here and insult everyone that posts on this board.
4. [ QUOTE ] plenty of room visiting bleachers are just about as big as the home stands [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't say that...I got there at about 6:00 for the Richalnds/Tazewell game and could't get a seat on the visitor side, I had to set on the Tazewell side where there was plenty of room even when the game started. It may have been that there were more Richlands fans there than Tazewell fans, but I wouldn't think so. But either way it is probably as big as Honakers home-side seating.
5. I wasn't at the game and the internet broadcast was kinda in and out because it kept reloading. I didn't hear when the TD was scored. So I was just wondering how CC scored the TD.
6. Great game to both teams, a little closer than I would have liked but still yet a great preformance by the BLUES! Great job guys.
7. [ QUOTE ] I must be on a damn delay with this online jazz! lol [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, no kiddin, I see what happens on here before I hear it on the internet. lol
8. Yeah, hes been out for a couple weeks now. Since the Tazewell game if im not mistaken.
9. [ QUOTE ] what did everyone think bout the jerseys they wore tonight? [/ QUOTE ] I liked them myself.
10. [ QUOTE ] how does 10% of the things on this foram turn into something to do with me? [/ QUOTE ] "Foram" LOL
11. [ QUOTE ] There is no Dog like an (Under Dog), if thats what you would like to call Carroll County. I have heard a lot of so called hoopla about Richlands, and yes the record shows they must be a heck of a football team. Regardless, I say once again, "Over Confidence" will be their downfall, if not this Friday maybe the next? Carroll County is nothing to sneeze at as far as records go too. (Good Luck To Both Teams)>> [/ QUOTE ] This is all I hear week after week. But has "Over Confidence" hurt us yet? Besides I dont believe our team is over over confident, our fans might be, but when it comes to the players they take each game for what it is, and they dont take anything for granted. With that said, I dont think this game will even be close. Richlands wins big, 35-3.
12. No kiddin, I was watching him in pregame warm-ups and he was just knockin 'em down from the 20 one right after the other. He was very good. Speaking of kickers, did Fajardo get seriously hurt, or just a little shaken up?
13. [ QUOTE ] so much for ur shut out huh... wait, wait all i SHOULD say is we came played and scored. end of story. ~*Friends don't let friends go to richlands*~ [/ QUOTE ] First off I think it's kinda sad when you are proud of only scoring 3 points in the entire game... thats as close as it gets to a shutout. I honestly think that may have been Tazewell's problem. They scored on us and then they thought "well, we did our job" and then they didn't play to win the game. But in the end it came down to the awesome D of Richalnds; they may not have started strong, but they adjusted and got the job done. This was definetly one of the best games I have seen in a while. I even had to sit on the Tazewell side cause I got to he game at 6:00 and the visitors side was completly full. But don't think I didn't scream and cheer, I may have made a few bulldog fans a little upset. I believed I cheered even louder since I was on the Tazewell side. lol. But seriously, it was a heck of a game for both teams. Congrats Blues!!
14. Salem 37yd FieldGoal wide right, Richlands ball on their own 20 7 something left in the game.(I can barely hear it on my radio here in Wise) 28-35 salem.
15. 1:30, I think... I just heard alittle bit of it on the radio a few minutes ago.
16. Is anyone going to keep the score updated on here. Cause I'm in Wise and I cant even pick-up any of the radio stations the games on. So if someone could, that would be great. GO BLUES!
17. Short, thats seems really long for high school football. Usually you see about 30yd. tops.
18. Did anyone else see the old Heath Miller clips from his Honaker High days on ABC during the game today? I thought it was pretty neat to see and hear the Commentators talk about it.
19. Oppps...didn't see the tread already talking about the band before I posted this one. Either way, they deserve all the attention they can get.
20. In case you didn’t see or hear, the band traveled to Philadelphia this week to preform in the annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving parade. They were great! I know most of the local cable companies didn’t have the channel that the parade was on, but I saw it on satellite. While up north the band also visited NYC, and alot of the attractions in the city. It’s really amazing that we have a program at Richlands that is good enough to be nationally recognized. You all should be really proud of those guys. They work really hard and are all really talented. They were one of only 14 bands in the country to be selected for the parade. Unfortunately this means they wont be able to make it for the big game Friday night, but im sure the guys can pull off another big win. I guess this means the fans will have to make up for the noise the band normally supplies! GO BLUES!!
21. I know this isn't exactly football, but if you havn't seen the Richlands Blue Tornado Band preform yet, it's a must see show (as always). The band is a five time honor band and has been great in the past years. Danny Swartz is a great director and works great with the kids. They work very hard and are always there to support their school and their football team. So if you get a chance, come out and see their show this year, or any year for that matter. Also, if you have seen it and would like to comment on it and/or let the members know what an outstanding job they do, feel free to do so here. Thanks.
