  1. Because every Richlands poster on this board is the same person... One person posted it and another disagreed with the posting of it.
  2. Spoiler Alert: That wasn't really Hitler, its from a movie.
  3. I've been struggling with this one as well. On one hand I can't stand the gNats, but on the other hand at least they aren't the Phillies. I'm between them and the Reds.
  4. Try the quote button next time so we actually know who you are talking to.
  5. Haha. That's hilarious! Because I must be on my period because I got upset at someone for labeling me an atheist, when they don't know me. That joke was funny...when I was in middle school.
  6. See, that wasn't so hard, was it?
  7. I do not appreciate being labeled by someone that doesn't even know me. I have said before that my beliefs are my beliefs and I do not feel the need to discuss my personal beliefs on a message board. I am only talking about the scientific theory of evolution, not religion. But while we are labeling each other...you're an asshole.
  8. Dude, sentences and paragraphs. They make things much easier to read. I gave up about two lines in.
  9. By all means...hijack away. Anything to take my mind off the game yesterday. You mind if I jump on the O's bandwagon? They have always been one of my favorite AL teams, since I saw my first MLB game at Camden Yards back in 2000. Besides, I could never cheer for the Yankees.
  10. Ok, so when you said the food was overpriced, you meant the drinks. I'm sorry, but $2 for a 20oz bottle of coke at a sporting event is not bad. A 20oz at a store is at least $1.50+. What price would you suggest? I'm sorry your pizza got cold, but by the time you bought it and walked back to the visitors side then I wouldnt expect it to be piping hot.
  11. I know all of these things. I have read the Bible. However, I still accept things when there is overwhelming evidence to support them.
  12. What do you think was overpriced? Is $2 for a hotdog w/chili too much? $3 for nachos and cheese or a pretzel? $5 for 4 slices of pizza? $1 for popcorn and candy. I'm not sure which items are overpriced. I feel like all of those are pretty reasonable. Sure you could probably get all of these items at a better price if you went out an purchased them yourselves...but you are buying them at a football stadium and we are trying to raise money for charity.
  13. I don't see how a discussion about evolution has any relevance to the Bible. I am only talking about the theory of evolution. My beliefs are my beliefs, and to me evolution isn't something to "believe in", but rather a model of a system. Religion and evolution shouldn't be equal and opposite. You shouldn't have to choose between 'believing' religion or 'believing' evolution. Evolution is a scientific theory. This doesn't mean that it's "just a theory" and doesn't have much evidence. A scientific theory is the best explanation given facts for something that can't be completely proven.
  14. I'm going to crosspost this here from the events board, so it will hopefully get more views. SWCC students will be given a special treat, half price tickets, for this one weekend only. Students must show their SWCC IDs at the door to get the specially priced tickets. Regular admission is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for ages 9 to 12 years. For those who miss the opening weekend, you can join the fun on October 19 and 20 or October 26, 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Featured will be a Gothic Art Gallery with a few surprises, an Insane Asylum run by the dead, a balcony haunted by star-crossed lovers, walking dead zombies, Slaughter House, City of the Dead Graveyard, Frankenstein’s Laboratory, and Leatherface’s Workshop. Even the ghost of Jack Sparrow may make an appearance. Concessions will be available, as well as, face painting. Dress in costumes is encouraged but not required. 16. No scientist would argue that man evolved from apes, because that isn't how it happened. However, man and ape did evolve from a common ancestor. That is a near unanimously agreed upon theory in the scientific world. Honest question: Do you actually know what evolution is? The theory of evolution is the scientific theory that explains why there is so much variety and complexity in the natural world. It doesn't explain what initially started life in the first place, all it explains is the variety of life we have. It isn't some sort of voodoo magic. It is a slow, long process of change through mutations, natural selection, gene flow, genetic drift, and other evolutionary forces. Someone said "Well, if I evolved from apes, why are apes still here?" Beside the fact that this statement is completely incorrect, it is also incorrectly assuming that when a species evolves into another species that it has to then disappear. Evolution happens to populations of species. For example, one population of an organism could develop a new trait through a mutation, that is then picked through natural selection to be the more "fit" trait (by fit I mean it is most likely to allow that organism to reproduce before it dies). The gene will then be passed along in that population more than the less fit trait, so that entire population could possibly then evolve to have that trait. Evolution isn't something that happens to an entire species simultaneously. But it does happens...without a doubt. Species change over time as a result of or to adapt to their surroundings. It literally took BILLIONS of years for the species that you see today to evolve. It amazes me how someone can totally refute something that they have absolutely no knowledge of.
  17. A battle with you is never a wise one, because you refuse to ever see the other side of an argument. What I am saying is that he didn't get the number wrong. He was talking about the 47% of people that do not pay federal income tax from the beginning. In his twisted view of reality, anyone that doesn't pay income tax will vote for Obama because they are entitled assholes.
  18. Keeping them out of the Diet Coke isnt the problem. haha
  19. I kind of like it. McCann hasn't shown any signs of coming out of his nearly season long slump. Ross is not a bad backup catcher, at all.
  20. And I lied. My friend baled on me cause he had to work. I was seriously contemplating goin solo, but thats a long drive and a sad and lonely drive home if we lose. Guess I'll be at home watching it...by myself :(
  21. I couldn't tell you why you haven't seen it this season. I can tell you that we sold over 120 boxes of pizza last week and 0 single slices of pizza. That's all I know. But, I'm sure you would know more about it than I do.
