Your last post made absolutely no sense, but I am taking it that you mean I said they would be 8-0 and they aren't, but you do see their only loss is to a team in the top 5 in AAA right? Weir's colors are red and black. That's what the avatar is supposed to be, but I guess it's just messed up or something.

I never said I shouldn't be responsible for what I am saying, but you're acting like I'm some old guy and I'm not. I support Weir football b/c that's where I played in HS and a lot of my good friends still play on the team. I never had a problem w/ JM, and honestly didn't know a whole lot about them until last year. Their fans, whether you believe it or not, thought they were going to walk all over everyone. They don't respect Bluefield and their program is one of the best in the state so why should someone give them respect as a football team?

I was not going to pay any attention to what you had to say until this thread was started and you started trashing Bluefield. Now I don't like Blufield, but I sure have a lot of respect for them b/c they are one of the best football programs in the state. You guys envy their football program, and I've heard this said by people from Bluefield. We will see come playoff time and then the excuses will be a dime a dozen. Just make sure noone gets kicked off the team, b/c you used that one last year!

Why would I be jealous of JM? Please enlighten me. Weir has SIX state football titles and a great shot to make that seven this year. JM has yet to win, or even get to play for a state title. I've said this before, respect is earned and JM has done NOTHING to earn my respect. You call me a classless adult, and while I am an adult I only graduated a little over a year ago from HS. Not all of Weir's coach's were classless either. The ones that were are no longer w/ the program. I find it funny that you trash us about what happened w/ the Bluefield game, yet EVERY JM fan I saw at that game was on Weir's side cheering for the Red Riders b/c of the envy they have towards the Beavers. Don't talk about Weir either. I talked to a few JM fans while I was standing along the fence, and they acted like we didn't have a chance. After we threw about 3 TD passes in a row within the first 10 minutes of the game, they walked away and weren't too happy. I am proud of being raised in Weirton and I would much rather live there than Lindside!

Who are you telling to stop posting on here? Do you realize EVERYONE on this board thinks your team is sorry? I talk about Weir b/c they've proven time and time again they are one of the top programs in AA. MavsGrad, I'm glad you took the deal, and I will stick to my word and won't post again until after the state championship if you beat Bluefield.

I'm still waiting. Come on Mavs fans. You say you're tired of me talking about how much better Weir is than JM, so someone take the deal. If you're so confident, agree to this so you won't have to hear from me until after December if you actually think that your team is that good and they will come out of the game w/ a win.

I'll make you Mavs' fans a deal. If Bluefield beats you, I don't want to hear anything else about JM until after the playoffs. If you all win, I won't say another thing about Weir on here until after teh state championship game? Any takers?

Last year's Weir team was stacked and I'm not going to get into it w/ you about the game b/c you know what happened and it involved 95% of the Bluefield fans leaving b/c they all but gave up on the Beavers. The last two years Bluefield had a great team and while I think they've got a good team this year, it's not a state championship caliber squad. If you want to think you can beat Weir go ahead, but we will find out soon enough!!!

Ok, I said I wouldn't bring up James Monroe but you force med to. Bluefield is going to smack you guys by at least 3 TD's. You play a weak A schedule, let alone AA schedule. Heck, little A Weirton Madonna w/ 110 kids plays a tougher schedule than you do w/ the exception of the Bluefield game. You guys might go 9-1 and lose in the first round. You remind me of Wayne fans, only worse. You have yet to win a state title(but at least Wayne has been there) and you still talk all this smack. I'd love to see Bluefield tear you apart in the regular season, then have Weir beat you by 40+ AGAIN!!! If Bluefield doesn't go 3-0 to end the season it won't be because JM beats them. Also beaverball, I saw the little cheap shot against Weir. Of course Weir wants another shot at Bluefield, but no matter what their goal is to beat whoever gets in their way of a state title. I wouldn't get so confident just yet b/c this year's Weir team is stacked and Bluefield, while still very good, doesn't have the caliber of team you had in 03&04.

Bluefield will go 3-0 and make a trip to the playoffs. The closest game will be against Herbert Hoover. I thought Mt. View was very good until they lost to a mediocre Tolsia team.

Ed, you are normally pretty reasonable but you couldn't be more wrong on this one. Whitman is a great coach and if he was at Parkersburg, you'd say he was the next Lombardi or Rockne!

First of all, it's hard to win when a school consolidates for awhile. Brooke had a lot of talent when they first opened up, but they didn't start actually being a serious contender until the late 70's early 80's. You act like Riverside has all the talent in the world. I saw them play last season and they were not that great. They overachieved, IMO and that is credited to coaching and the heart of the team. I mean, he's not going to win a state title every year. Some good coaches go through their entire career and only wish they won a state championship. Get real, Whitman is a class act and a great coach and I am far from a Dupont or Riverside fan.

Say what you want, but Nitro will win this game by a FG or TD. It will be close, but WW won't have an answer for Culbertson. I'm not sold on a team coming off the type of season WW had last year and winning it all. The top three teams in AAA IMO right now in this order are Morgantown, Nitro, WW and then Parkersburg at 4. The to eastern panhandle teams, Martinsburg and Jefferson, are not legit contenders. Morgantown smacked Martinsburg in each team's second scrimmage which was run like a real game. It wasn't 10 plays, then a change of possession. I think Martinsburg will smack Jefferson when they play, and that will prove neither one of them will make a run at Wheeling. Maybe I'm wrong about WW, and if I am then I i will be the first to make a thread saying I am wrong.
