He's 66 years old and hasn't coached in 27 years, 28 by the start of next season.
He never once managed to last 3 years in his brief coaching career without being suspended or fired.
Not sure how his past transgressions help anyone from out-of-town respect the Blue Tornado? Likely the exact opposite.
But for sheer entertainment value, what the hell? Hire the man. Should be a hell of a ride. Could even lead to threads that rival the one about Chris Akers.
Joe is 81 and President of the United States of America age shouldn’t matter , and if you knew the guy then you would know what kind of football mind he has, majority of the people in Tazewell Co loves the guy !
I say hire the man , and on his third year at Richlands we win the state , the pride in our school will be revived and people from out of town will respect the Blue Tornado again !

I don’t know if this is or ever has been their MO, but I like this idea. He does give them a physical presence if the OL can move the LOS.

Funny you mention Alley. Apparently, the coach agrees with you. The quote I saw in the BHC said he thought Alley was underutilized. Maybe they'll follow your advice Saturday.
I like the Alley kid running the Ball , he can make a big difference in the game , but I’m not sure the coaches are willing to run him !

1. You are the one who said, “this crap of putting guys in there that don’t know football has got to stop !” And last I checked, Tarter was one of the guys who coached this team.

What about Dennis Vault or Freddie Simon and all new assistants? Just putting that out there! Or maybe let the tax payers decide by voting, this crap of putting guys in there that don’t know football has got to stop !
Hire someone that has a proven record , they didn’t do that with Tarter , move away from this homeboy crap , we want a leader and a knowledgeable coach at RHS that can win !
To be honest beating this team isn't fun. I'm no Richlands fan by any means but it's sad to see what's happened down there. Hopefully they figure it out becuse the district is better when Richlands is good.
Until the administration changes the coaching staff , they will show up next year 0-10 these kids don’t want to play for these coaches they don’t know football ! Worst in RHS history
