  1. My son , Brock Alley (Tazewell) committed to Ferrum College on Wednesday evening
  2. That’s Big Mike , strength and conditioning coach at Graham . My son has trained under him during the off season since the 8th grade . Although my son plays at Tazewell he treats him as if he was one of his kids at Graham . He is a great guy who loves working with these players.
  3. Thank you for your concern, #6 Brock is my son . He took a helmet just below the knee to the perineal nerve on the side of his right leg . His leg went numb from the knee down and he didn’t have any feeling . Hopefully it’s just like a stinger . Still can not put any weight on it . I would like to say thank you to the Union team and especially their coaches , they all came over and wished Brock well . Coach Turner spoke to Brock also . We left it all on the field when the majority of people said we had no chance . These “Dawgs” played their hearts out , good luck next week to both teams .
  4. Thank you , that means a great deal as a parent when you hear that about your own children from someone you do not even know . This group of seniors are a good group of kids . I’m not sure what the future holds for these young men but I know the town of Tazewell is better off for having them here .
  5. I can’t speak for all the seniors(I’m sure they all will) but I know my son will give 200% just like he has since his freshman year …..
  6. Nope , we will pull for the G-Men if that’s the case . My son has friends that coach and play at Graham .
  7. I asked my son , I don’t agree with that type of posting either . He said someone posted something like that on a some social media site called “Barstool”not sure what that is myself . He said no one knows who posted it . Doesn’t know if it was a player (doesn’t think it was) or fan . As far as the player hurt , if it was the Tazewell player , it was a dislocated knee cap ,Doc Shrader put it back in place on the field but the young man has to go for follow up .
  8. Maybe I should have said “most of the players give 100%” , I stand corrected . I have issues when we as parents , fans or want to be coaches have disparaging things to say about the other teams/players and coaches . At the end of the day this is a game that we love , it has taken my son that was a slug (I can say that ) Xbox junkie as a child and molded him into tremendous young man . Do I hope we beat Union Saturday, yes but if we don’t ,my son will still be a “Dawg”…… he’s showed that for 4 years and he and the rest of this team have earned the “Dawg” status .
  9. Curious, so Tazewell hasn’t earned the “Dawg” status but you have ….. by chance did you go to the Univ of Georgia and that’s the reason you have earned it ? If so what year did you graduate from UGa ? Me ….1988 ….earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree ….. so maybe we know each other ….. Go Dawgs …. Tazewell( yes these young men have earned it) and Univ of Georgia Not sure why anyone wants to belittle these high school athletes ….. these players from all the teams give 100% …..Union very well may win but the team they will face against Graham is not the same team they played earlier in the season …. Go G-Men
  10. We may have lost two games but both of those teams are top notched and will go far in the playoffs . Did we play well , no . Will we beat Graham , according to the majority on here who have seen Tazewell play and even those who have no clue how good Tazewell is probably not . One thing I will guarantee, these young men will show up and give 150%. They will represent Tazewell well , they will shake hands after the game , and wish Graham good luck the rest of the season ……and as a father of one of the players, who I know will give 200%, I will back them win or lose . Go Dawgs ……
