  1. As apt a description of Tazewell as I've ever heard.....
  2. This could be true. As poorly as the offense has played, they've still put up points when needed. I tend to believe, that with so many starters back from a unit that sometimes scored at will last year, a couple of tweaks along the line of scrimmage may cure the problems from the first two weeks.
  3. No problem with that. BUT.....Richlands has enjoyed the most successful 11 year run in school history following its move to the spread in 2004.
  4. You have a problem with the style of football at Richlands?
  5. http://www.businessinsider.com/why-you-should-never-punt-2013-11
  6. No doubt both were great players.....but I recall similar statements being made when Richlands lost Travis Payne, Brandon Gayheart, and Garrett Arms after the 2005 season.
  7. Lol, nope, I just forgot about the Ole Miss collapse last year ......which is why I didn't catch your not so subtle point about Union being undefeated and reaching the semi-finals. Still doesn't change the fact that a team that loses to another team early in the year can be the better team by the end of the year...ask LSU (2011l.
  8. You better tell that to Florida, Memphis, and Arkansas. They're all suffering from the delusion that they defeated Ole Miss. You taking the Rebels in the playoff???
  9. Just pointing out that Giles won the regular season game last year. Was I a being a little too subtle for you by not mentioning that Glenvar won the rematch?
  10. ......and I don't think you'll find many fans from Richlands saying that the Blue Tornado was a better team than Bluefield last year......
  11. The facts? So I guess that means Giles was better than Glenvar last year, and Ole Miss is better than Alabama this year...
  12. Yes, he can. You may not believe it to be true, but it's simply a matter of opinion. I believe he's right, but it doesn't matter, because Richlands didn't get it done versus Appo.
  13. With Absher, Cody Howie, Scottie Ball, Chace Collins, Luke Phillips, Landon Lowe, and 2 offensive linemen returning, the offense should be explosive. The JV team was undefeated last year. Richlands will be loaded again..... Unfortunately... many of the division 2A higher quality teams from this year return a lot of talent.
  14. My peeve is notsomuch a pet peeve.......I'm peeved that with all the sports fans that visit this forum, not ONE has posted any details on the fallout suffered by that Sleepin' Nuts dude after he got busted on here....
  15. No, but a very good player that didn't play In last year's game with Abingdon. Was one more reason besides the transfers that had fans from Richlands feeling confident about this season's match up with Abingdon.
  16. I just knew he was one of 3 offensive stars for this year's team, along with Howie and Blankenship, that did not play in last year's game with Abingdon.
  17. http://www.wvva.com/story/30544671/2015/11/17/ball-is-a-nice-weapon-for-richlands This interview says Ball hadn't played the last two years. I honestly couldn't remember if he played as a freshman.
  18. While I'm glad to see Graham re-emerge as a force in football, I would feel cheated as a fan if Richlands did not get a second shot at Union....win or lose. Go Bears.
