The whole deal with the colors was that the combined schools weren't supposed to have any of the older schools colors... that sure didn't happen with Central... kept pound and jjk colors. I felt like the Copperheads would have been cool with copper/white/black color scheme. A shiny copper helmet akin to Notre Dame, with black uniforms would have been beastly.

At least Union mascot was something somewhat unique and has something to do with the area. I so badly wanted the Pound/JJK school mascot to be the Copperheads.

The name Central was a message to the rest of the county about what's most important in the county.... when Eastside closes down in a few years they will be at "Central "... don't forget.... they wanted 2 and even 3 schools on the one site up there at one time.... which is ridiculously stupid.

Oh yeah definitely. I hate the name and it should be something else all together.

When I first heard what they named the school I thought it was a joke. Wasted opportunity to come up with something original and cool.

I guess the closest business would be the 4-Way? 4-Way Wolfpack? 🤷

That's just as funny as the Valero Bears.... since it's so cool to name schools based on proximity to businesses. 🤔

While we are at it... technically it is Central Warriors. There's no Wise... its not Wise-Central or Central-Wise.... just Central. Would I have picked that? No way. Terribly generic.

My opinion counts for far less than theirs, but I just don't see it. However, it doesn't matter if I do or not. I just don't see the type of impact I saw from the Jones Brothers, Beasley, Miller, etc. But I am often wrong. I do feel that sometimes family history and last names open more doors, and that's in everything.

This will probably ruffle alot of feathers but the only kid with anything close to D1 talent in Region D is Meadows from Graham. That's just my opinion.

Who is better.... Abingdon's Martin Lucas or Fritz? I've seen Lucas in person and on film, and I've only seen Fritz on film. Just curious.

I will be surprised if this is closer than 2 tds in favor of Graham.

I love good football that is executed well, regardless of the team... as long as it isn't some "jack-rock, roll the dice hodge podge" I'll give credit lol
