Miami rolls into Blacksburg on Saturday. I know it's early in the season, but does anyone else feel like this is a "must win" game for the Hokies? Miami is very beatable, but if we lose we put ourselves in a huge hole in trying to get to Charlotte. I don't think as of this point they have announced the game time yet. Should be a good one. Thought? Snarky criticisms of LT? (had to throw it in there, lol) Predections?

No chance. We are winning the World Series :D

Pretty sure any knowledgeable Tech fan is hard on Stiney win or loss. He is a terrible OC. His system would be fine if he would stick to the style. But he never does. Go down by a FG and abandon the run. Blows my mind. Either run the offense correctly or switch to something that works. Even when we win, it's usually not because his gameplan was great.

I was in New York City during the Poquoson game this past year. So I can't comment on that one. As for the other 3 State Title games I watched, I thought the officiating was fair.

No, he is not Big Creek. He is a Richlands football player. Last time I checked, he had on a blue helmet with white stripes and the lightning R. That's a RICHLANDS helmet. I'm sick and tired of the bs recruiting crap. Kids transfer every year. It happens EVERYWHERE. Will Cole transferred from Graham to Bluefield and won a state title. I don't see you jumping down Bluefields throat for "recruiting". Just drop it. It's more annoying than the whole cleat bs that has been run into the ground. Just give it up. You lost to a better team, that has single A numbers. Give credit where it's due. Do you see us Richlands fans trashing Turner Ashby? Monticello? Puquoson? Nope. We give them credit. They came out ready to play. We did not. Plain and simple. Just put the recruiting crap to rest.

I don't expect a blow out either way. Our offense isn't built to blow people out. And our Defense isn't built to allow a blow out to happen against Tech. I'm really excited about this game

Anyone else just watch that exchange on GameDay? Herbie picked Clem. Corsi and Desmond took VT. Then Reese, Corso, and Herb had an iso camera free for all about the game. Lol.

This game reminds me of the last time Clemson came to VT. Clemson came in ranked close to VT. Noone gave VT any chance, and we handed it to them. I'm hoping this game closely resembles that one. I'm watching GameDay and they said Clemson hasn't beaten VT since 1989.

If it's raining that should give VT the advantage. Rain generally slows down a high octane passing offenses. That will just make the game more intriguing.

I recall us using the helmet in Honaker two years ago. I know several trams we have played at that have allowed us to bring it. I don't see the problem, we've let Taz have theirs at Ernie Hicks.

I had to have a new windshield put in my Mustang today. Had a rock from a coal truck nail it. And I don't get off from work till 1 am. And when I ran my defrost it spiderwebed pretty bad. So had to have that done this morning

Finally, someone who agrees with me. Too many people forget that he has played QB his entire life.

Logan is a QB that converted to TE at Tech that is now a QB again. If he's out there playing, the coaches obviously see something in him we don't. I trust Beamers decision on this one. People forget he only has 4 games under his belt. I can recall people ragging on Tyrod after 4 games. Give the guy time.
