2001 Region C D2 Championship was a great game. Floyd beats Chilhowie 17-14, it was my freshman year at Chilhowie. Floyd scores with about 3 min to go to go up 17-14. Chilhowie then drives back down the field and Chil's QB comes up 6 inches short of a first down on a scramble run on about 4th and 9 inside Floyd's 20 yard line with just over a minute to play. Floyd then took a couple of knees and won the game. Floyd went on to the state title game that year. Chilhowie fans were heartbroken but it was a great game and one to remember since we don't get to the playoffs very often.

VHSL poll is horrible, Abingdon and Marion are above undefeated Chilhowie who they both lost to and Patrick County is above undefeated Floyd County who they lost to. After last week Richlands doesn't belong in top 12. Terrible poll, the creators of this poll obviously don't pay much attention to the game, swva sweet 16 is much more accurate.

At this point it doesn't matter how much GW beats there opponents by, because they are head and shoulders above everyone in their region and will beat everyone in the Hogo by at least 30-40 pts a game. The real challenge will be getting past regions and making a run at state. Playing a weak schedule has hurt them in the past and it could hurt them again this year. Beating teams all year by 50 plus points a game doesn't help a team get ready for playing great competition deep in the playoffs.

Will Graham be willing to schedule a Single A team, I know they never have in the past, it'll be hard to get a game in VA considering most are already set for next year on the 2nd year of the VA schedule rotation. They might have to go out of state or find a team that got dropped by a team like they did.
