I had predicted Galax victory with prospect of Cliny\twood win with if Galax made a few mistakes which of course occurred. I also think that when Clintwood came back to tie Galax got a little tight espcially in the 2nd/3rd quarters. Clintwood was well prepared and I felt Galax got away from the things they had done well all year, I saw Galax do some things they hadn/t done all year. Give Clintwood the credit for this but felt when Galax faced some adversity in the 2nd/3rd quarters they responded poorly all across the board.

better in power I ....maybe with on off season under their belt Spread will be more effective

thought the g-men imporved steadily throughout season....they will be much imporved next year and could be favorites to win MED

agreed sixcat ...not suggesting any residence illiegalities just engaging in some "what ifs" also. I think we both agree there are some really good football players in this area at the moment and Shalabi may be the best all around player.

yes but on a side note Jordan Vaughn lives in Grayson Co. and Fisher went to elementary in Grayson up to 5th or 6th grade. I believe Lundy currently resides in Grayson County.

Grayson lost starting MLB and leading tackler (49) to broken leg and staertting FB and ILB (44) to broken foot. Both HUGE losses

Had opportunity to see G-men this Friday and they our obviously much improved. Impressed on the effort the showed and how well they rallied to football on Defense. Fairly small on D but quick and the played hard even when making mistakes the effort was there.....that is a reflection on coaching. Offensivelyvery simple scheme which is smart when implementing a new scheme with new expectations. very impressive kicker.

58-0 halftime.....Clintwood scored opening drive and Grayson returned KO for TD that was called back, they kicked fG and that was end of scoring

This was shocking...after being stopped on their first couple of series Grayson just exploded with several different players scoring #12,#5,#44,#2,#22 not to mention the stuffed C-wood for a safety...the wer ruunning almost 2 complete units O/D

not sure of quality of Graysons competition in comparison to Clintwood, know that Hazard is very good not sure about Haysi...saw where Clintwood beat them pretty bad

That will be difference....do not think GC can handle size of backs and averall physicality of Clintwood....what kind of overall speed does Clintwood have on and what is Secondary like. Grayson does have a variety of weapons

Grayson while I think is solid is not in the top 10 in D2 West.....I look for Chilhowie to either beat them in an offensive i.e. @ 35-28. Pretty good O but very susspect D

You also have to look at geography...Graham draws their kids from a much smaller area than Grayson. Grayson is an extremely spread out county interms of populations. You can drive from the eastern side of Galax all the way to the Tenn. line and remain in Grayson County. I think Graysons enrollment advantage is a little misleading....what other Single A school has this distance problem?

Grayson's student population is on the way down, the spike from 2002-2004 is gone, with the textile/furniture industry on the serious decline ,Grayson will be sub-600 in 3 years. Have you ever been to Grayson, name me a single A school with such a spread out population, going east to west it starts on the ohter side of Galax and runs to the Tenn. line.
