  1. That success should start really showing up next year for the gmen.
  2. Maybe I should have said, "Remaining on their schedule in the regular season".
  3. Richlands by 3 touchdowns easily. Nobody from Pulaski to Lee co can hang with the Blues. Except Pulaski Co.
  4. Is this where the "Golden Wave" splashed into Grundy? LOL
  5. I didnt make the list, therefore I could not have left him off of it. UVA Observer said 2005, and I was merely saying that his last season was 2004. Coach Carlock was a good friend to me for many years and I believe he is in the top 3.
  6. Carlocks last season was 2004. His last game was a loss at Tazewell 19-14 in the region semi-finals.
  7. Yep, because Carlock pretty much owned Mance.
  8. Dude, Dave Meggett (man known as the downfall of Howard Cossell) and Otis Anderson. Just to name a couple.
  9. Jeff Lamie was the best all around athlete on those teams. We see what happened to Tazewell in 87 (when they were on their way to a possible 2nd state title in a row) and Lamie broke his collarbone at Grundy. It was all down hill from there, even with Quinten Reed on the field.
  10. Ok, so the game is at RIchlands and I am assuming it is a 7:30 kickoff. I may make it down if it doesnt rain.
  11. Tazewell/Richlands/Grundy shared the district title in 87
  12. Shew, thank goodness UVA hasn't been ranked in the top 5 since around the early 90's.
  13. Haha. Chubby fingers and little buttons. No"G"" involved.
  14. Edited, because I refuse to lower myself to that level.
  15. Of course it was one of your better memories of high school football...that's why you of all people, should know what these kids and t this community are going through. So why not try to pick us up and help dust us off...instead of kicking more dirt.
  16. Glad we could give you 1 good memory. Now back to the point at hand......waiting on that insight you have.
  17. Yeah,5-5 was an outstanding year for Grundy in those days. Who did you play in the playoff that year?
  18. And you still got nothing to show for it.....except maybe a t-shirt.
  19. Kind of like the words Grundy and football, when you played there? Btw, thanks g for proving my earlier point.
  20. Just searched, "Lance's knowledge and insight into the situation regarding Tazewell High School Football", interestingly enough......no threads came up.
  21. My goodness.......... Ok, let me explain again. Every chance you get to put down THS or the community of tazewell, you do. Go back and read Barondawg77 post. The community had very little to do with any of the last three coaches leaving. Now, i'm finished with this thread. Good luck to coach Allen and I will be there every Friday night to cheer the Dawgs on. I'm sure that every chance you get to put us down you will. It was obviously futile to try to get you to realize how people from tazewell feel about what you write about our community on here. Cheers and adious.
  22. Never said you were biased "only" in this thread.
  23. nope :) No denial here. We will be fine here in T-Town. Thank you for your concern. I wish Grundy the best as well. I greatly respect Coach Rowe and remember how Grundy fans were after him in his final years. They seemed to forget all that he had done for the town and the community for several years. All I am saying is your opinion seems to be very biased. If you cannot see that...then you are in denial. As an administrator of a forum, that is a wealth of great knowledge and insight, I would hope that in the future you would be a little more unbiased. Once again, you have a great day and If I can ever be of assistance to you feel free to come and see me. Best wishes
