I am from Va not Shelby Valley. I would like him closer to where I am. He will not leave where he is unless it is to be closer to his family. He has done a very good job where football is not to highly thought of. They really like what he has done thus far

My hole problem with that is you can only believe half of what you read and nothing what you hear. I know he has done good jobs everywhere he has been and I have never heard his players say anything bad about him. Sometimes when you stand up and do the right things you dont aleways come out ahead and I think that is what has happened to him. I am glad my son played for him and he helped him become a successful person.

My son played for him and loved him. I saw him coach for the time he played for him and the man is intense and treats all his players the same from the starters to the kids on the bench which was my son. I really believe his reutation proceeds him. I think he has a bad rap and I went to watch him coach this past yr with my son and the people there love him. I just dont get it why people believe this. I know for a fact a couple of people they have interviewed at Va high are no different than him, must be something else.

Why dont the powers to be go after saunders. If they were going to hire Chris Jones they sure would hire Saunders.

I thought Saunders applied? He is a proven winner more than any of those guys you mentioned. IMO

heard Saunders was interested. Has a very good job where he is. Would he leave to go to Va High. He is a very good coach with proven record.

When are they going to announce the new coach? Have they already hired someone or they waiting.

WOW!!!! THE legend grows. He is a great coach and person all the accolades and respect to him , his assistants and to the Richlands program.

I only know of one thing that was controversial about Saunders and when the old super left Wise they asked him to come back to Wise. I know he is very happy here at Valley. He has done things here at Valley that no one before him could do and he does not have much help.There is no controversy here and he has done none. We do not want him to leave and we think he will stay.

Saunders would be logical choice. He has turned bad programs into good ones. Would be hard for him to leave where he is. They are going to be really good next yr . Young this yr and done well. Would hate to see him leave valley

Why wont saunders go after that job?

He has won over 100 games and turned around programs that have been terrible. He is a good coach but I do not see him leaving Shelby Valley. He has a pretty good deal there. Not as tough as the Hogo but there is not anyone as tough as the Hogo.
