  1. Over React Much?? Sounds to me like the cops are pissy that they wasted time and are forcing an arrest....and does anyone else think those bonds are a little high for the supposed crime
  2. Accountable for what exactly though? They may have acted immature and irresponsible in public...but is that illegal? I mean hell ppl Johnny Knoxville made a career out of doing just that.... They didnt file a report, no one was forced to participate against their will (as far as we know).... so, what exactly is the crime....
  3. Tenn High 0. Greenville 42 4th
  4. Tenn High 0. Greenville 28. Halftime
  5. yeah I seen this game, tried to reply with my phone had some issues though. Anyways, This game could have easily been a 40 + poin shut out victory for the Cavs... they just couldnt get it going in the Redzone, their Defense was amazing through most of the game, and if today was indicative of how Bath Co. played all season I dont know how they made it this far, I counted 5 fumbles 4 for turnovers and 2 interceptions all before the 4th qtr.
  6. Ok, I'm a huge MMA fan... Chuck Liddel is my fave fighter, but another guy I love to watch fight and always pull for is Randy Coture, I was disappointed when he lost his last heavyweight bout, and contended that at least he fought till the end. Last night's Main Event had Coture fighting Brandon Vera, and I'll admit Coture had control of most of the fight in his typical style of manhandling his opponent into the cage and holding him there, and the usually after wearing them down he'll slam them and ground and pound.... but not last night, nope last night the extent of his offense was holding Vera against the cage, and while Vera did spend most of the fight with his back against the chainlink, he also through some hellacious kicks and got Coture into a full mount in the last round. I predicted that the judges would most likely be split decision as Randy is a UFC HOFer... but I didnt think they would be stupid enough to reward him the win after he failed to really produce any offense. Vera was surprised...as was Joe Rogan who stated that the Judges were wrong on live PPV last night... UFC needs to get some new judges... refs too as a fight earlier on the card was stopped way too early. Not that any of this will stop me from ordering 106 sat. night... I'm hooked but I'm getting disappointed... any thoughts?
  7. From everything I've read, McDonnel is anything but a cookie cutter republican in todays sense of the word republican anyway. He's basically Conservative, Pro Gun, Pro Military (Not Pro WAR people) and against money to illegal immigrants, I Voted for Him.
  8. As a Lifelong Owls fan I have to admit I dont think I'll ever feel for the ne Raiders what I feel at heart for my Owls, Some history missed in the article is that Big Creek was one of the first schools in the region to get stadium lights, allowing night games hence the name Owls. Also the original field they tore up a few years ago for the k-8 was never laid out in a tradition north south configuration, but in an east west. Anybody whoever went to an old BC game will remember the red pickup parked next to the light control box, that was Jean "Rabbit" Cooper, aka my Daddy.... I never in my life had to pay to get into a game at BCHS as he worked for the power company and the lights were controlled on a primary voltage breaker we got in free, parking right there at the center gate, beside the old concessions stand, or later next to the restroom after those concessions were torn down. Daddy never was one for sittin in the bleachers, choosing instead to be there with his old classmates and lifelong friends standing beside the entrance gates to greet the Mighty Owls with a mighty "Get'm Boys" every friday night. And throughout the game Daddy stood right there leanin on the trash can beside the gate and along with other weekly brethren cheered his beloved owls to victory. My favorite memories of childhood are there at polletti field. Watching my Heroes, larger than life in the Green and White. Guys like Sam Muncy who played even though he could barely move his legs after all the injuries and scar tissue, he would continue to be there every week after graduation on his crutches before he would succumb to cancer. I remember Daddy teaching to respect names like Hass and Payne, and to remember that Coach Polletti was as close to Vince Lombardi as I would ever meet. I made the trip in last week to the last Homecoming game, seen some old friends, got some new memories and watched my boys win the first game of the season, sure Burch wasnt a great team, and we didnt really have a defensive plan going on during the game, but Dammit, I seen MY TEAM win one last time and I'll always smile about that
  9. Lance I think youre right about this, obviously AHS fans are football gods I mean Damn, if only every football team had the presence of mind to have a gameplan like that.... lmao Are you people serious about the stuff you talk every week after a loss??? I mean if you lose by 50 you never ever had a chance to win....period!
  10. ok we are less than 2 hours from kick off I'm on my way out to the field in just a bit, I'm predicting a Tazewell victory... I'm one of the few fans praying for the rain... thats the true test of heart for highschool players lets see if they are still hardcore and ready for blood when they cant keep their feet under them...lol..... heres hoping to a good hard hittin game
  11. Tazewell by 12 minimum!!! And Abingdon fans you guys have to stop with the same talk every single week about how youre going to surprise everyone.... NO ONE has been surprised yet this season by the falcons and it aint startin with the Dawgs.
  12. Mitchell Stadium Hands Down..... I cant complain about Abingdons Stadium either... not a bad seat in the house... at least not from the visisors side....lol
  13. No way will Abingdon beat Tazewell, the bulldogs are coming to AHS hungry for a win and will not leave without it. Sorry guys.... AS far as Abingdon coming out to Enter Sandman..... You come out to a song that sets a certain expectation you better be able to back it up..... and AHS doesnt back anything up...
  14. Being well coached is part of a good football team, no matter how much talent a team has if the play caller is an idiot, they'll never win.
  15. lmao...sounds to me like lance and the wave are trying to pawn plymal off on another swd team...lol jk And again, as most of us have been saying all week, no matter how much smack the fans talk, the team has to be able to back it up on the field, and this season, Abingdon is not going to do it.... sorry guys. You have a good team, you DONT have a great team. it's high school football, we all have bad seasons....look at my owls... last season in history and we suck.
  16. I COMPLETELY agree with Lance..... Burton rolled AHS not because they were good, but because the Falcons are that BAD
  17. Ok as to the original question, can the Falcons march into a storm and win??? Not if that storm is in Tazewell county.... sorry AHS fans, I dont think you have it this week. But we'll all have to wait and see, no matter what we think or how much all of us piss and moan about our teams and rivals, we arent the ones out there on the field, well at least not anymore. Good luck to both teams.
  18. Close??? I didnt see that. Like I said before, it wasnt that Burton was that good, just that Abingdong was that bad. Burton lost possesion of the ball more times than I can remember, hell the center hiked the ball 10 yards behind the QB. Abingdon never really capitalized when they could have.
  19. 3rd pic from the bottom looks like one painful ass yoga move...lol...ugly tackle
  20. I saw every play of this game and I can tell you that Abingdon had several chances to capitalize on some dropped balls and one truly bad call from the ref in the first minute of the game, problem is they COULD NOT do so. I'm not saying that Burton is that good, I mean they have a truly gifted player in Miles other than that I was less than impressed, but as many problems as they had and as bad as they played, Abingdon played way worse, not to take anything from a couple BEAUTIFUL passes made by the falcons, but all in all they dont have a chance against the Blues next week
  21. yeh, I actually use a lot behind GCHS as a staging area I contract for Pike Electric.... problem is I have to drive a crash truck back to Euclid Ave in bristol before I can go..... so I think I'll do the abingdon game, tempted by the V-T game at the stone castle but that place will be Wayyy too crowded for me!!!!
  22. ok guys, I gotta work in Duffield till 5ish tomorrow then trudge a big ol' truck back to bristol so I wont be gettin back to the Abingdon/Bristol area till 630ish and I wanna watch SOME game ANY game, is this gonna be worth my while? I had to miss all games last week and I'm not plannin' on a trip to the motherland (BIG CREEK) till the l,ast Iaeger game. So I wanna see something, all trash talk aside, who looks good for this?
  23. DAMNNN that was a heck of a block...!!! lol And everyone knows Garon Had some SKILL
  24. If AHS brings the same game against Grundy as they did last year, I dont think they will win this year. I seen grundy several games last year and watched friday night, totally different team, not saying theyre big or that they have lots of talent, but the boys have learned to HIT and that's important, from what I remember last year abingdons players werent the best at shaking of a big hit. I havent seen them play this year, but will surely watch a couple of their games.... I'm TOTALLY unbiased here I'm an OWLs fan and they SUCK and wont exist after this season so my WV transplanted butt isnt pickin' faves just statin' my opinion for what its worth
