college coaches do look at kids dedication and work habits its just like when you apply for a job they dont say ok you are hired the want referances and your work history,that why its good for them to start a good habit early.Football just like all other sports teach more than just how to play the game wish all kids could play something then maybe just maybe we would not have all the drug,murder,stealing like we do. Just my 2cents...........

My kids have been in the weight room since they entered middle school (their choice) I have ask them to go to the beach and other places during the summer and they relpy Dad we want to lift weights during the summer and get ready for football.do i let my kids be kids? yes. they swim,go to movies,go to dollywood,camping on the weekends but if the weight room is open thats where they can be found. do i agree with it?yes..why you may ask? because i know what is out there in the world to get into things alot worse that spending your time in a weight room. my oldest is attending a very good college and is going to play ball for them,he finished high school with a 4.3 GPA so i dont think lifting weights in the summer hurt him. my other son has a few year left in high school and he has a GPA of 3.7 dont think its hurt him either..I am very proud of the young men they have become....Like i said in my other post if you want playing time you best be in the weight room and whatever else the coach has going on..

This is what summer workouts are voluntary/mandatory. You dont have to go but unless you are playing summer ball you better be there or you will not get much playing time...

Patterson is #31 right? Well he played the whole game,I just finished watching the game from last year and he started the game and was in at the end. He played the whole game.

While I belive Dusty will be missed the last time I checked it took 11 players working together to win a football game.I think a lot of dusty and know him very well and Yes he is a great player but he is not the only player.

They just handled a crowd of at least 7000 people at the south game don't belive they had that many there to see them kick Tazewell butt. South even had their cheerleaders in side the fence and they had like 28 I belive

I don't agree with people messing with the cheerleaders but at the same time I don't understand why they were not inside the fence like all the other teams that GC plays I think you fans from Tazewell are just carrying this way to far. I mean cheerleaders have always been inside the fence at Gate City theirs stand inside it so why can't yours and before you say it same amount of room on both sides of the feild

I have been going to Gate City games for many years and all the visitors cheerleaders have stood on the side line and cheered. There is not enough room on the track for them to be on it. But people should not be messing with them at all but I know for a fact that they did not just stand on the sideline after they went out there they cheered the rest of the game
