Virginia high boys hung 86 on Volunteer last night in game in Church Hill to take the win. Maybe a decent year for them. Girls also won last night and put up almost 80.

And you think VHS isn't already used to someone loading the box? Va high will do as they have been doing, load up and come right at you so you will load the box then hit you over the top or around the end. I don't see GC have much success running the ball and QB may.not have time to throw much unless on run. It will be a good game. What I'm interested in is this may show if and how much VHS has improved since getting off to a slow start. I know you can't compare teams that play but GC vs Battle and VHS vs Battle were both close. I honestly think VHS was a lot better then Battle but had a bad game. If GC game is close I was wrong but if Va high wins big then I was right. No disrespect to the Devils I pull for you except when playing VHS.

I actually see VHS getting stronger and stronger. They had a couple let downs against Battle and Union while trying to find all the.peices to the puzzle. It seems if they are in.place. I would look for them to finish out strong and maybe win a playoff game or.two.

I still ain't bought into Battle being as good as their record. May be wrong on this one but beat GC and I will believe. GC has been battle tested now it will show. Virginia high had them beat and didn't even score an offensive TD. So I guess either Battle is as good as said which means VHS record doesn't show how good they are or the exact opposite. I guess we all will see Friday night. Good luck to both teams but I will be pulling for the underdog. Go Blue!

For one you can't set up and throw the football while on your back. Virginia high will get it together this year wait and see. Also I find it kinda funny that the sophomore qb from Battle's father has been down to Virginia high asking around and talking of moving his son to VHS. Maybe all isn't well up on ol battle hill?

I for one was at the scrimmage, the only thing that resembled a bee was the stinging Ft Chiswell was putting on them Falcons. Yeah they were flying around all over the field and Abingdon looked like fly swatrers with all that arm tackling.

Virginia high maybe just maybe will be the sleeper to make a run, don't be surprised

I noticed no one has mentioned Virginia high yet. I think this is a team to take notice of in SWVA this year. They have 9 starters on offense returning according to last years roster and 7 on defense. Word around Bristol is coach Wheeler hasn't took one second off along with the team preparing for this year. They finished 5-5 during the regular season last year and a few of those games were lost on the last play or series. Not making no predictions of the upcoming season but I look for them to be very competitive in every game.

Well the hoops kick off tomorrow night at Abingdon, haven't heard a lot about them Falcons. Last year these two teams split. Any idea how the Falcons look?

Not sure of his name but he was really pissed at Virginia high today. He was cursing ref's and complaining at the scrimmage. Seems to me he was mad because his team got it handed to them and then in the 4th when the bench was still puring it on he called a timeout and went off on the officials over it.
