I don't like bandwagon fans anymore than the next person but that is still merchandise being sold. Marshall doesn't have bandwagon fans because they don't win consistently. No one wants to buy Marshall gear. PERIOD.

Yes, WHEN they were 1-AA. Now they are a mediocre team in Conference USA. There is a reason the stores aren't carrying tons of their stuff and that is because 20% or less of fans in WV care about Marshall.

How is that notoriety? You don't get notoriety by begging businesses to buy your product. You gain notoriety and build a brand by results on the field.

On another note, this is the same school that missed the Conference USA media day because they scheduled a connecting flight on the day of the conference.

I would think that most retailers have a pretty good idea of what is in demand already. And do you really think that leaving cards behind is going to motivate a store to order enough merchandise to appease Marshall University? If a store does order stuff in and then it don't sell then Marshall just loses more credibility.

No, it's because I think most retail owners simply purchase their merchandise based on supply/demand. In tough economic times, they aren't going to order tons of merchandise and tie up their inventory.

Definitely heart breaking but if any other team could have won I am glad it was Japan. I liked the way they played and seemed to have good sportsmanship.

This arrest may propel WVU up the standings but the last updated standings from July 11th had UVA ranked ahead of WVU. hmmmm

Read and comprehend. My post had nothing to do with the jury. It was in response to him saying that he doesn't believe he killed her but she knows who killed her/how she died.

That makes her look just as bad.

I still don't see why this whole "she didn't have a motive" argument is coming into play. Look at the mothers over the years who have killed their kids for either no reason or some crazy reason. Susan Smith for example, her motive was, to dispose of her children so that she might have a relationship with a wealthy local man who had no interest in a "ready-made" family. Yeah, Casey Anthony is REAL innocent. While her daughter was missing, she didn't feel the need to report it to anyone. In fact, she decided that she would just go out to the clubs and party a little bit. Yeah, that has innocent written all over it.

Also, there was plenty of evidence to convict Casey Anthony. The system will have let a child murderer walk free on July 13th.

Maybe I should have expanded more but you are proving another point that I would like to bring up. Several people feel that she is guilty but yet they feel like its "ok" because the jury saw that there was a lack of evidence.

People say that the jury got it right and the system works. Well you know what? That's a bunch of baloney. A murderer will be set free very soon. And if you think she is innocent due to "lack of evidence," then I have some ocean front property in Mcdowell County I will sell you.
