My point was that some on here, not singling you out, made it seem like Bluefield was this unbeatable juggernaut and could play w teams like Greeneville, which just isn't true. There's no doubt Bluefield is very, very good. Best in our coverage area with Pulaski and MAYBE Ridgeview could hang around. But they aren't an elite, unstoppable team like some would have people believe.
I know that you aren't talking to me specifically as I have never made any declarations like that on here. Although as a Bluefield fan I have told other Bluefield fans from the get go that they would have tough games against Richlands, Botetourt, and a potential rematch with Fairmont Senior in Wheeling. I was surprised that they beat Richlands by the margin that they did. At the same time I never look at any team as unbeatable, especially my own team. I nitpick and complain about imperfections too much to do that.
The scary part is that Bluefield has a chance to be an even better team by the end of the season. The only thing that would surprise me is if you don't see a match up between Bluefield and Fairmont Senior in the state championship hame.
Name calling 🤣. Must have struck a nerve. Wow. Chill. It’s a high school game pal. They are not going to shut down high school football because the beaver dam broke tonight. Union and Appo were superior last year. PERIOD. Look in the mirror with a strait face and tell me any different.
Look. It is what it is. WV football does not have the competition of va. But if your “God of WV football” struggles with Va teams that can’t win their region then how good are they.
In all honsety, it’s like comparing the ‘72 Dolphins to the ‘85 Bear. There is no true way to tell other than opinion and speculation.
Martinsburg is the "God of WV football" but they aren't in the coverage area. Not sure why it is so hard to grasp for so many on here that the forum focuses on teams in the coverage area. Smh
Sorry 24282, no matter what you say Bluefield is going to be a part of the coverage on this board. If you don't like then that's just too bad. The great thing is that there is nothing you can do about it except deal with it.
You can also go to www.coalfieldsports.com and click on the team tab and under most teams (not quite all yet) we have radio links for the teams. Along with rosters, schedules and records.
The actual production of the game also made it tough to watch. Between about 2/3 of the action being shown from the endzone field level and the announcers acting like teenage girls it was mostly unwatchable.
Totally agree haha! I guess though as long as they keep providing a stream free of charge I won't complain too much. Did have to mute them a few times.
The flow of the Bluefield Graham game made it tough to watch with the penalties and cramps. Bluefield needs to learn to play with the same intensity when they get up big.
Juice Edwards lateral jump cut is unreal. Lots of talent at the skill positions for the Beavers.
Thanks, @BHS03, for sharing. This is an exterior picture I found of Mt. Hope Municipal Stadium. I immediately thought about Tennessee High's Stone Castle. It turns out that both were WPA projects from 1930s.
