If #12 was QB last night, he is the second string and will be playing mainly WR and maybe some HB this year. We will be ok, very very young team, should be STACKED in a couple of years. Good luck to Grundy too.

I don't doubt that. I just think a lot of people would take it the wrong way. I'd love to see Scott do the same. You talk about a powerhouse in basketball and football.

The state of Virginia doesn't claim us anyway. They take taxes from us and we don't see any of that put into place. SWVA or (SWOVA), NETN, Northwest North Carolina, Eastern Kentucky. That'd be a fine state.

Oh I know, there is also a humongous pile of dirt that is secured by doors in the bottom of the Gate City MIDDLE school (built in the 80s) that was supposed to be a swimming pool. But....never happened. Just imagine if Scott County combined, how dominate we would be in Volleyball, Basketball, and Football. It would be ridiculous.

I think we need to do some more consolidating..as bad as it sounds. I love Gate City, I really do. But Scott County is swallowing itself with under funding and having to pay for this "sports complex" that will never be finished, Plus Rye Cove has to truck in there lunch everyday from a nearby elementary school because they don't have a cafeteria. I hate everything around here funding wise, Southwest Virginia is always left in the dark without a candle. Everybody in NOVA needs to remember that we also pay taxes down here so they can all have nice things while we are stuck with text books from the mid 90s. It's a shame, it really is. I wish things could change but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Good luck, represent the CMD well. Sucks we both couldn't be going, I do believe Gate City is the better team, but you guys won when it mattered the most. But I can be a V-CAT fan for a bit i suppose...
