This game, many folks on here are thinking it'll be a close, low scoring game, but I honestly believe that it won't be close. First off, it seemed like Union's kicking game is abysmal, didn't they miss every XP that they had taken last Thursday? I'm confident that our defensive line will get sacks and hurries all night. Does Union have the DB's to keep up with our receivers? Believe the passing game will be what wins the game for Richlands, spreading the ball around to Howie, Collins, Atkinson, and Lowe. Who knows what'll happen, but I have a feeling that Richlands will get the W in Bullitt. 34-17 If I'm wrong on this, I'll gladly eat crow.  

Gee, there are quite a few good moments in Richlands history. Let's see.
-The 3OT game against Va. High. Still don't know how we ended up winning that one, but I'll take it.
-Wicks hit courtesy of Josiah Goins. Poor guy. That swung all of the momentum to Richlands and Hidden Valley rolled over after that.
-'06 Title game vs. Rockbridge. Fuller's interception to seal the championship.
-Playoff game against Gate City last year. Heck of a game, and honestly felt like a home game. Was surprised how loud we were down there.
-The Win Streak.
-Beating Tazewell in the playoffs in '08, 28-27 (:

Message to Richlands fans: I've been noticing a trend as of late, and that trend is that our fan base has been absent all year. I can remember driving to Hidden Valley and to Brookville and us packing the stands 2 hours before kickoffs. We always had more fans than the opposing team during the season. It's such a HUGE difference when we can go on the road and make so much noise that it throws off the home team. But this year, we haven't filled up a set of bleachers since Gate City in week 1. These boys don't have a perfect record. They lost some squeakers. They got beat convincingly. But they've grown so much. They deserve to have a rabid fan base that will follow them ANYWHERE to see them play the game. Are we really that spoiled as a fan base? Have we seen so many 10-0 teams that a 3 loss season has turned away fans?? We are ONE win away from a STATE SEMIFINAL APPEARANCE. This team is good. But so is Gate City. They need our help in any way they can get it. Remember when this team carried out the 32 jersey and promised to play this season for Cody? Well, that's still in effect. This season still means more than just a season.
 
So I'm challenging you. Load up a car with friends. Get your friends to do the same. If someone doesn't have a ride, BRING THEM if you don't have a full car. Let's pack these stands Saturday at Gate City and help our boys continue their dream. Mance shouldn't have to beg on the radio to get fans to come out. It's time to re-ignite this fan base!!! THE STORM IS COMING!!

Oh we stretch farrrrrrrrrrrr beyond that. Lol.

I hope the officials from the first game are NOWHERE to be found this go around. 2 great teams, hoping for no injuries, good weather and for the officials to be impartial and fair! 

I bet Southbound's dad is ecstatic over the recent ruling by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Don't really think Bluefield is overrated.........personally. The only reason that was brought up was because Richlands beat them.

The Tech O line seems weak the last 5-6 years, there are good RB's this year and cannot run still, VT has a ton of young talent, I am trying not to be too dismal but it is tough.

I don't really see how McCarron got an invite over Derek Carr. I mean, when you look at it, Carr, although he wouldn't have a shot at winning it, had a better season than McCarron. Carr passed for almost 5,000 yards, to go along with almost 50 TD's, and 7 INT's, and broke records all year long. It's a travesty.
