Hokies win, and no one is talking about it? UMMM... Now if tech would have not completed that 4th and 4, to keep the game alive or would have missed the FG, or would have layed an egg in OT, I'm guessing all i would read on here is how the Chokies fell again. Or the criminal PK, lost the game, or Stinespring is the worst OC in football. Well i'm proud of Tech last night, they showed alot of character when it looked as if they were no hope. Logan Thomas was off on alot of his throws last night, but connected late when he needed it the most. Journell showed alot of character and guts after missing the first FG. I think the RB's showed some promise. The Defense looked like we all thought it would. Brian Stinespring, well, lets just say Tech won and go to next week.

Richlands has 2 good wins. Last week we were lucky to walk off the field with the W! We have not played to our potential yet, and if we decide to turn the ball over and commit numerous silly penalties again this friday, Graham of course can win. If we Play like were capable, Richlands wins 37-14. If we turn the ball over and try to set the record for penalties again and allow Graham to hang around until the second half, It will be a long 30 mile drive home and an even harder week ahead reading all the posts on here.

I've looked at Weather Channel, WDBJ 7, Bluefield, Everyone saying the same thing 60-70% chance of rain and possible thunder. Guess were all going to be wet.

I think Gray had maybe just a bit of REAL PRESSURE last night. And as far as the trash talking goes, i bet you a Buffalo Nickle, the trash talking has been from both sides!

Alot of Confidence for a team that hasn't had a winning season since 2007. And as far as being favored to win as early as next year, might wanna start beating some good teams first. I guess a 5-6 record last year was a breakout, but every good team Graham played last year, pretty much blew Graham out. Nice win over Bluefield this year, but Bluefield is not a dominate team this year. And Tazewell is just plain terrible! Might be close next week, but i kinda doubt it.

A Union player came in and hit our QB a little hard when he took the knee, and as any team would do, they pushed the Defensive player off, and the Flag flew. Most of our penalties were legit, but that one was terrible.

You walked away knowing Union was the best team? Thats funny. If not for the turnovers and mostly STUPID penalties we committed, the Union Bears might have lost by 3 TDS. With that said, Union did look good, but NO, Union was not the best team.

There are rising numbers of kids who are held back for a size or height advantage in sports. And still others are held back just because the parent simply doesn’t want their kid to be the youngest or the last to do things. In still other cases, the rationale is that an older child is more likely to be confident, and a leader. Richlands is not the only school to do this, If it helps a kid get a Scholarship to help pay for College, whats the big deal. Why does so many people want to cry about this issue? Maybe, just maybe, the kids buy into the program here at Richlands and actually listen to their coaches, instead of running a coach off after a year or so when they dont get their way. Maybe hitting the weight room year round is why some of our kids are a little bigger and stronger!

I would take my kid to Richlands also... Uh, i mean East Co. Just kidding, it makes alot of sense. As a parent, of course, anyone would want their kid playing for a program that gets exposure and have a better chance of a scholarship.

2006 Richlands beats Rockbridge for the State Championship! 1992 Richlands beats Orange for State Championship! 1992 Richlands beats Salem in State Semi's. 2005 Richlands beats Liberty 22-20 in State Semi's. 2002 & 2003 vs Graham, Graham won both games, but Richlands kept scoring with those Graham teams to keep em close, but Ahmad Bradshaw was just too good. Richlands could have had 13 on Defense, and couldn't stop Bradshaw. 1992 vs Marion. Richlands kept the unbeaten streak going, but it was tough, Richlands took the game to OT in a pouring rain, Richlands won i think 38-35.

I hear that Michael Horton has been taking snaps at QB. Horton has played LB, but never QB, so i would assume that Coach Mance has something up his sleeve. I was hoping that Ben Brown would turn into his older brother this year, but i guess we will have to wait and see. Our Defense should be very good. Our WRs and Backfield should be good. But we lost alot of talent, so we will wait and see.

I still remember Olson making the all-star team in 1990, that was a year before all the success for Atlanta started, and as a Braves fan, you couldn't wait till the lone Brave made it in the all-star game. After the Caminiti hit, Olson was never the same.

I would love to see Tennessee, Bama, Florida, LSU, Georgia and so on in Lane Stadium, but if we were to go to the SEC, it would be a longggg time, till the next Conference Championship.
