Final.  Parry McCluer 22, Fort Chiswell 7.  McCluer is sneaky decent good.  They've improved a bunch from last year and so has Bath County.  I still favor Narrows in that district......kind of....but I would be really surprised if they were to beat McCluer by more than 7 points.  McCluer has the ability to beat them.

Fort had 2 TD’s called back -penalties in 2nd and early 4th quarter. PM deserved to win though, dominated first half. Quesinberry has done great job at Fort. Injuries adding up, Fort lost QB mid third.

Grayson County goes to 4-0.  All four wins have been by a combined total of 21 points (5.25 pts per game average win margin). The combined record of the 4 teams have beaten is 3-13.

    Alleghany, NC who is 1-4

    Carroll County who is 1-3

    Rural Retreat who is 1-2

    Floyd County who is 0-4

4-0 is 4-0 and there is absolutely no question about that, but it's not a pretty 4-0 by any means considering how solid Grayson was supposed to be.  If I'm 4-0, I would feel pretty good, but considering how good I was supposed to be and winning by that low of margins against not so good teams has to worry me about what's to come in the season.

Floyd has lost 7-8 players since beginning of season to injury

Flooky play of the game was opening kickoff everyone goes in to tackle player it was kicked too ball pops out right to fort chiswells best player who then went untouched to the house BC nobody was near him.

That player for fort is Mikey Melton. Including that fumble and run, he had 6 touches for 220+/- yards.

Seems like several people are eating a bit of crow talking about blowouts and poor defense.

Has any class 1 program held Riverheads to 14 points in a half since Galax in the 2015 state championship game?

Here is where we will see the quality of the new coaching staff at RH. Casto was the master at halftime adjustments.

5 years ago Riverheads beat Essex 17-14 in Middlesex

  12. Anymore everyone is wearing gray. I like the school colors for older fan. I watched Radford play Fort Chiswell in 2017 in a last play 26-23 game and could not tell which team was which until the first score. Both wore gray. Fort’s first home jersey in years this year, gold helmets and pants and black shirts. The way it’s supposed to be.
