We will have almost 600 helmets from around the country on the site when the new site comes up. Which should be Monday at the latest. So... find someone to get us images, and off we go! dawgs86 10 Report Share Posted January 21, 2005 I have Helmet Decals from 2000-2003 seasons where it was just the "DAWGS" and then the other Dawg from 2003-2004 season.. Where can I send the pics to? And which ones would people want? the old "DAWGS" logo or the picture of the dawg? OR actually the pic of this years decal? Check it out if you get a moment. And keep sending in helmet images - our VA/WV dealers are chomping at the bit to get more made. buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted January 22, 2005 Actually tom might recall, or have yearbook photos of these, since he's an '87 grad., but in '87, maybe '88 also, bluefield had a short lived helmet that was different than most. It had a "B" on 1 side, the left I believe, with the sitting "we believe beaver" inside or in front of the B. And nothing on the other side. And the striping was much more narrow, maybe 2 or 3 closer, more narrow white stripes, with 2 thin blue stripes inbetween the white 1s. It might have only been '87. And also at some point in the '80s, mid or earlier, bluefield changed from grey to white facemasks.. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
buzzsawBeaver 12 Report Share Posted January 22, 2005 Beckley had 1 maroon stripe down the center of their helmets, it doesn't appear they have those on the mini helmets. Keyser's K was different than the 1 in the mini helmets. See keyser phots in playoffs album, playoffs And that said, not to be to critical, because overall I like the helmets and yall have worked hard on them, but bluefield's mini helmet seems to red, at least in the photo, as oppossed to the darker maroon red that it really is. tom 10 Report Share Posted January 23, 2005 i do recall the old helmet logo with the 'B' on them but it seems like they were pre 84, i remember them from somewhere but i cant remember what yrs, maybe i just remmber the logo but we never had the B from 84-87 and in 88-92 i was living in germany so i wouldnt have known if we had pink uni's ..lol but i do beleive the B was late 70's early 80's..just not sure Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stuka25 10 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2005 The photos really stink. I wanted to get them online as soon as I could, so I didn't do what I normally do. Which is get perfect lighting and a better angle. The color is Cardinal Red which is lighter than Maroon, but darker than Scarlet. It really looks sharp. We are using Cardinal Red Metallic helmet for the Beavers. For the G-men we are using the same helmet. From all of the pictures, it looks the same. But if we are wrong, let us know. I have sent several new teams to be made, including princeton, james monroe, oak hill and mt. view. I plan on making every team I can, but i need help from you. If you want your helmet made, I need to get a picture of your helmet. Tazewell, Richlands, as far down as Roanoke, Charleston teams , Parkersburg South, Morgantown, all these will be available.
